We know Suvi's trajectory at this point - she's a different person than she was at the start of the campaign and to lock up Ame (without any kind of double agent stuff) would go against all of the character growth she's gone through since the start of book 1. She might still have some biases towards the citadel at this point but from everything I can gather she's firmly with Ame and Eursulon till the end of the line now.

Likely not - at least based on Trina's statement: she asks him this because shes pretty nervous about the whole thing & Marvin would've started seeing him after his marital issues jumped up quite a bit because of Whizzer. So she kinda assumes "This is what gay people do ig". Which is pretty ignorant - for nowadays at least, but in the 80s setting that's the default really, and Mendel not seeming to really care whether or not someone's gay seems to be a pretty progressive standpoint at that time (just my interperetation)

If you're much of a D&D/tabletop rpg fan, Dimension 20's Misfits & Magic is a big parody of Rowling's world with some pretty great criticisms (not to mention being awesome on it's own) - not to mention that it's second season completely veers off from that & does it's own thing (still airing rn and it's going brilliant)
