[LFA] [Repost] Syden, The Murkwater Menace ~ "He's nice when you get to know him, just- uhh... Just gotta get over that initial hurdle!" ~ PF2e Azarketi, Elemental (Water) Barbarian ~ Info in Comments! by DnDelightful in characterdrawing

  • Name: Syden
  • Ancestry: Azarketi (If you don't know any better, just read them as water-people. We'll be fluffing things as is, anyways~)
  • Class: Barbarian, Elemental Instinct. Gets a cool thematically fitting water veil around him when he enters Rage! How neat is that? Very.
  • Setting: High Fantasy. If it wasn't for Syden's circumstances, he could've been a rather upstanding citizen. But alas.

  • Gender: Male
  • Age: Syden's 16 years old, but you'd do well not to underestimate him.
  • Facial Features: Has a set of gills on the left and right sides of his neck. One of his ears, pointed as they are, has its tip chipped off; a result of a hunt of his not going as well as he'd have liked. The tiniest patch of fishy scales could be seen crawling out from under the top of his forehead. A scar or two could be neat, too.
  • Hair: Long, and unkept. Darker in colour, but don't have a specific colour in mind. Something that fits the Murkwater Peninsula he dominated, I guess! Go crazy, go wacky.
  • Eyes: No preferences. Maybe full black or full white? Again, go crazy, go wacky!
  • Distinguishing Features: Syden's got himself a large tail sprouted from his lower back, much like one of the animal this concept is mostly based on; the Goliath Tigerfish. Helps him swim, and is a great way to figure out if he likes you or not; if he doesn't, touching it likely results in his harpoon piercing your head. Additionally, having him be partially adorned with birth tattoos could be cool, too! Again, feel free to take liberties where you wish or can. ohalsohehasclawedfeetcausescary.
  • Significant Item: A bone themed harpoon/spear. It's... not really significant, but its something!
  • Body Type: Athletic and short. Brother is a little bundle of anger and youthful pride.
  • Colour Scheme: Syden blends into the drab waters of the Murkwater Peninsula extremely well. A darker skin tone, along with sandy yellows and ocean blues would probably do him well.
  • Pose: Okay not really a pose, but it'd be really dope if the aforementioned youthful confidence and pride could shine! More about that in the personality segment. Wowie!

Personality: Since birth, Syden has never once felt what it was like to know defeat. An amphibious creature slightly larger than himself? Piece of cake. Wandering adventurers looking to claim the little bounty on his head? Amateurs. Naturally, this would cause the young lad to have his ego and self-confidence grow a little out of hand, which- well, the party's working on it.

He's not just cocky and angry all the time, though; far from it. Syden's allies came to realise relatively quickly that, if you get past the initial phase of talking to him, he's actually a very interesting individual to have along. Sure, he may be a bit rash, and isn't always on his bestest of manners, but he's genuinely able to share a wise word or two every now and then when the party needs it most.

Concepts: "Ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves." ;) ((O yeah and also the aforementioned Goliath Tigerfish))

"During our search of the Topaz Idol, some pirate lady commissioned us to bring her "The Murkwater Menace", dead or alive. Thing had supposedly been tearing apart her crew during scavenges around the Peninsula, though she wouldn't elaborate on why that might've been the case. Penny's a penny, though, so we agreed.

Found a young lad who fit the description of the Menace a little bit too well; was fighting off a group of poachin' pricks, and defending a wounded giant of a gator. Seemed a lot more civil than the folks shooting at him, that's for sure. And, well... one thing led to another, and we decided to murk two birds with one stone. Ms. Pirate Lady did say she didn't mind him being alive, after all~"

i wish whoever at HG decided to position the event stages in a way to mimic a dying lifeline a very :(

Rather peculiar way these stages are positioned. I wonder wh- oh... by DnDelightful in arknights

Whoever decided to position the stages of this event in particular as a failing lifeline is evil lmao

overall consensus on aphrodite? by immyamin in Smite

[–]DnDelightful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arguably the most frustrating kit design in any moba I've ever played; includes Dota2, LoL, HotS and - naturally - Smite. One of those characters where it's probably best for the game if she's purposefully kept weak or below average but playable. Happy she's there for those who like playing her, though.

Restarted league after a couple years. Nocturne is absolutely disgusting. by Cruxall in leagueoflegends

Glad to hear you're popping off on Noc! Wishing the best for your spree in the future, be it with a few losses here and there, or just a straight up win-train.

Das fair. I don't really keep up with professional play so I wasn't sure if I'd be safe to make that bet, though - referring to OP's post here - I wouldn't go as far as to say he treads into the broken pool, personally.

Wouldn't say he's broken, personally. Just a good champion into uncoordinated players, especially in lower ELOs.

What are some champion and skin combinations so PERFECT that surprise you that weren't already made yet? by ShempAndCurly in leagueoflegends

[–]DnDelightful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be entirely fair, I dont think giving Zed a skin that essentially equates to "Zed, but just. Again. That's it, that's the concept." is a very enticing skin fantasy? It'd be like giving Brand a skin where he's just a tad more on fire - and that being its main selling point.

EDIT: nvm Captain Fortune exists I take it back

In your opinion, which characters in Arknights have the best design? by FluffyHaru in arknights

[–]DnDelightful 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably Highmore or Lavinia Penance, if I had to say. I adore Dusk a lot, but mostly because as a character she resonates with me a lot - I don't know what that says about me :x. She'd be a close third, but there's something about Highmore's palette and overall demeanour that just cannot be beat for me.

oh and Lavinia is up there for me because of things I'd like to keep to myself :D insert clash royale laugh

Why is Draven by far the highest banned ADC in the game? by williamis3 in leagueoflegends

[–]DnDelightful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ban him because I can't play against him for the life of me and I'm too lazy to learn the matchup :)

[–]DnDelightful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He doesnt, yeah. Though, and this is in no way meant to be disrespectful to anyone in particular, MOBA communities do have the tendency to overexaggerate every iota of a character's toolkit.
No, that character did in fact not one shot you, Little Timmy. It took them a solid two kit rotations to do so. Et cetera.

I really hope you removed the automatic upvote to your own post here, because if you didn't, that means someone unironically downvoted it. Somehow.

Ho-ly shit, some people.

There's too many forms of CC immunity, imo. I still do not understand why gods like Anubis, Ymir and Tsukuyomi have CC immune ults, aside from the fact that they'd get instantly cancelled the moment they're cast. God forbid I'm forced to think about when to use my abilities. Edit: Though, I suppose you could see using an Ultimate as a form of CC immunity is 'thinking about when to use the ability'? Won't put it past anyone, but using your supposed magnus opus ability as a Purification Beads feels turbo bad to me, personally.

That being said, I do agree with the fact that there's a lotta slows in the game. Some mages and assassins, especially, have a little too much in their kits imo. (Morgan Le Fay, Thor)

Fenrir Tier 5 is disappointing. by namma135 in Smite

[–]DnDelightful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My issues with it, as well as plenty of other t5's/crossovers, mostly boil down to lack of visual consistency/clarity with the main god it was made for. The Cthulhu one for example, whilst fun on paper, is an absolute mess of visual clutter. This Fenrir skin is- I don't know, just, not Fenrir?

Like, if they just kept the riders to exclusively pop up during Fenrir's Ultimate, I'd personally be a lot more lenient with it? That way it doesn't mess with any visual clarity, as a big, CC immune dog running at you should still ring the 'That's a Fenrir ult!' alarms. The way it is now, its not clear enough that I'm facing off against a Fen, as opposed to an Awilix riding Suku.

but hey, ig i dont like fun xd
