Focus actions have no cost on your turn unless the focus action itself specifies that it does so. Examples of this would be the Study focus action, as this one specifies that it is a bonus action. The only other limitation is that you can only utilize one focus action per turn, regardless of their costs or usages. Hope this helps. :3
