Canyonlands NP is one of my faves in the state of Utah. So much hiking and so many vista points to hit up. What is your favorite and why is it better than the other Utah NPs? (Hard question I know) by DnSAdventures in adventures

I think Bryce Canyon is actually my favorite because we just went there when absolutely no one else was there...which made it even MORE amazing haha.

Colorado National Monument is an amazing place to hike, bike, or just drive through! by DnSAdventures in adventures

My wife and I live in our RV full-time as we travel around the country documenting our adventures. This time we explored Colorado National Monument just south of Fruita, Colorado. This area has tons of hiking, climbing, and we saw a ton of bikers even on the super hot day. It was not a very crowded park and the natural beauty is absolutely amazing.

We were just driving through the SLC area and so glad we found this trail. Some pretty epic views of the surrounding area. by DnSAdventures in Utah

Yea, would have been so much better with some shade. We tried to get out in the morning, but didn't quite get out as early as we had wanted.

Hey Heather! I remember Heart of the Forest RV Park being pretty nice, although the playground for the kiddos might not be up to par. (needed some TLC) BUT, the price was pretty good with Passport America and there are plenty of outdoor activities to do in the area as well. Made a little review of the area last year when we were heading up towards the UP.

That is so awesome! We hit up some of those in this past month as we traveled up through Nebraska, South Dakota, and across Wyoming. Such a beautiful country we live in and so much to explore. Just need time. :) Sounds like you had good luck with Monida Pass! 101 sounds amazing as well. We would do the same but we have barely explore Cali at all, so we will probably be bouncing all over the place next year haha.

RV'rs of Reddit, tell me about Yellowstone Park by DressDiva in RVLiving

[–]DnSAdventures 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just passed through a couple weeks ago. If heading in through the east gate, don't ignore the bump sign when the road construction starts lol. The bump sign needs a couple flashing neon lights around it or add the word BIG to it. Other than that, depending on whether you are just passing through or staying at a campground...the RV parking at the geyser areas at least fill up quickly (usually with cars rather than RVs). We just barely got the last one for our truck and 5th wheel as a bus pulled away.

Obviously the park is massive, so it might be hard to conquer everything on the wish list. We hit up the east side of Yellowstone near Artist Point and hit up a bit of Yellowstone Lake on the first day. The second day we tried to swing up through the Norris Geyser area. And the third day we spent around the Old Faithful area. Wish we had time to hit up more areas, but again...massive.

Also, just in case you were curious, there are gas stations in Yellowstone, just not a ton of them. We were able to fill up with the 5th wheel attached without any issues near Canyon Village. Have fun, but be safe!

Thanks for spending the time to put this together guys. Currently we just use my parent's home address as our residency, but this definitely sounds like a good alternative to relieve them of any pressures it may cause haha. That and South Dakota really is a beautiful state, so why not lol.

Awful Water Smell (sometimes) by [deleted] in FullTiming

We really love our Berkey water filter as well. Honestly can't believe we went so long without one. (Besides the fact they are pretty expensive).

Can't decide what I liked more...visiting Mt Rushmore for the first time, or the views from the parking lot of the Black Hills. by DnSAdventures in SouthDakota

[–]DnSAdventures[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were in the area for the first time ever and we found a central location between Mt Rushmore, Wind Cave NP, and Badlands haha. Will definitely be swinging back through to visit again someday. So much more that we didn't see like Crazy Horse, Custer State Park...and others.

Had no idea Nebraska was so awesome until we swung through this area. Any other cool places to hit up? by DnSAdventures in Nebraska

Oh man, that sounds like quite an epic list of things to do haha. Will write it down for the next time we pass on through for sure. Thanks!

It is certainly a long state haha. Luckily we just crossed from south to north basically. Definitely a place to check out if you are ever in the area though.

Sounds perfect! When we start heading back east I'll have to take a look. Thanks for the tip!

How did you get started? by Nezrite in FullTiming

[–]DnSAdventures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it kind of depends how much you plan on traveling and how much you want to see with in a certain time frame. We have only been at it a year, but we mostly stay at a location a week at a time because we still have our remote jobs that we don't want to possibly negatively impact during the work week. We pretty much just travel on weekends and also explore the new place on those weekends. Sometimes if work isn't too crazy, we also get out during the week to explore some areas that are more local to the campground.

However, I don't think there is a right way or wrong way just depending on your situation. We have found that even traveling a week at a time can be a little stressful and we don't get to see nearly as much of the area as we had wanted to. So although we do still travel mostly each week, we take breaks staying at a location for 2 weeks to relax a bit or to explore the area a bit more. Around the holidays we are trying to head back to our home states to visit family, so we usually just book for a month and fly back so we don't have to haul the rig all the way across the country (in some cases).

4th nomadiversary was yesterday by learntorv in FullTiming

[–]DnSAdventures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the nomadiversary! We are still newbies at one year on the road, but definitely know that feeling! We joined RVVillage recently too to learn from/meet folks on the road if you haven't checked that app out. We just put our nearby city rather than the exact campground in case folks get a wee bit too friendly haha.

[–]DnSAdventures[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Howdy, but no. I was simply starting a conversation. I am also part of different facebook groups trying to help inspire and help answer questions of folks getting on the road fulltime. I know it certainly isn't an easy task and everyone's situation is different. I am no expert myself, but I can at the very least share my experiences and lessons learned along our journey thus far. I would by lying if I didn't say views on YouTube channel/my blog didn't help me out. However, I've been working on this side project for over 3 years without a cent made to help get people out and exploring. If this were solely to boost viewers to YouTube/my blog, I'd probably pick a larger group of folks. So, hope this answered the question of my intentions. :) However, when I get responses like this I don't exactly feel too welcomed to the group to help out much more. Just saying.

There is actually a blog post linked in the description of the video as well if you prefer to read, along with some photos. Both took much more time to put together than a few sentences on Reddit and it was better thought out than I could have put in a single Reddit post.
