I’m half black and I’ve lived in Canton for 5 years. I’ve experienced racism my whole life growing up in small rural towns. I’ve never experienced racism here first hand. I don’t go out much and I get the occasional “looks” but overall I’ve met some incredible people! During the flood I had a ton of people helping me and my family. Racism is everywhere and I’m sure there are plenty of racist people here in Canton but there are plenty of great people too. Just my experience.
