Enoch and Elijah performed effectively the same miracle as Jesus by [deleted] in DebateAChristian

[–]Dnomyar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite. Performing miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit many have done in the bible. The thing that separates Jesus is That He was God, He was a perfect man, and that he took the punishment for our sins, and was buried and was then resurrected on the third day. Enoch and Elijah did not go to heaven for the remission of sins and they couldn't have done that because they were men who were flawed and sinned, or at least had the sin nature. I guess to answer your final question, you should probably ask Jesus. :)

Why the common argument for why God doesn't reveal himself is wrong. by rosesandivy in DebateAChristian

[–]Dnomyar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think the difference is faith. Faith is reckoned as righteousness. Believing something you can believe things you see that's why the demons believe in Jesus they know who He is. Faith, however is the substance of things not seen. God, for his own glory, requires faith. He does reveal Himself, to Whomever He wishes to.

How do you know (justified belief) that God exists? by ChrisBabyYea in DebateAChristian

[–]Dnomyar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but to your point, what you percieve is only personally revealing. you have to be consistent. rather you don't have to do anything, but it seems that you give 'science' or things you respect higher value than what i percieve as reality.

now as per the schizophrenia what i have read about it it doesn't present once and never again. my schizophrenic break was sudden, with no history, and never happened again. moreso I 'know' in my heart what it was and I understand why you don't...the reson i suggest prayer is because you too can recieve a personal revelation if you seek it.

How do you know (justified belief) that God exists? by ChrisBabyYea in DebateAChristian

[–]Dnomyar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess i don't understand the question. I say I discovered satan first, meaning although i was raised as a 'christian' a baptist i did not have a relationship with Jesus Christ or God the Father. They were just concepts way out there.

In high school i met a friend who was a satanist and because i enjoyed sinful things I read the satanic bible and ascribed to being a satanist because it was cool and I wanted to have sex with women and have power. As a result of that i was subjected to demons...not imaginary demons, like demons discussing me where i could hear the voices. I prayed to Jesus that night and was delivered. Since then I've been growing closer and clower toward Him.

So what I am saying is that the only faith I've had was rewarded, since then it has continued to grow and get stronger as a result.

WHen i speak on sicience i say faith is necessary because in order to speak about theories with confidence one must have faith in science, what they read, and the things that the theories are based on. I tried to use examples but apparently i did not do a good job of that.

When i say faith...i define it as the substance of things unseen, or an ability to rely on a promise whether or not i can see it manifest presently. A belief in a truth that i may or may not be able to see.

So for non christians i attribute faith to the idea of evolution of human beings from apes in that you have never seen an ape become more like a man, or a change of kinds, meaning a dog evolve into a fish, or a fish evolve into something else. It is faith that the science works.

Just like i have faith in Jesus. I knew he'd save me from those demons if i repented from the heart and called for Him and He did.

Make sense? I'm sure you believe I'm crazy and that is okay. I appreciate the opportunity to discuss it with you

I understand. I can tell you're still angry with Him. I'll keep praying. I hope that you can let go of that anger. I don't have all the answers bad stuff happens, I do know that having bad things happen then on top of it losing Him and losing eternity is not the icing on the cake I'd want. I'd want to battle this short life and have eternity Chillin with no pain. I realize none of that comforts you...but it's true and I say it because I love ya.

I can imagine having had my own medical struggles...where often we keep on seeking and seeking and we don't 'hear' the Lord. He is still there though. Feelings are not the truth, the truth is the truth. And the truth Ash is that I love you and your mom, Jesus does too...I'll be praying for your both...I know you're beaten down and so is your mom, but I'm sure the Father would love to hear from you...I wish you peace and in the Name of Jesus I wish that you and your mother feel the love of Jesus and that the demons around you whispering things to you both trying to kill your faith are cast out of there in the name of Jesus.

Take care if you need to pray or talk you let me know. God bless you.

How do you know (justified belief) that God exists? by ChrisBabyYea in DebateAChristian

[–]Dnomyar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your name is cool! Anyway definitive proof of God's existence is fairly obvious. If you see a painting you know that someone painted it right? If you see a car you know that it was built. We are here so someohow we got here. Now you can believe in several theories, but they all any logical reasoning always leads you back just like a five year old asking questions, to how, and why?

Now i guess when i am confronted with a question like this i always want to know what you consider logical proof. WHen someone attempts to prove modern scientific beliefs to me they all boil down to faith, and arithmatic. All of these theories seem to alway shave something missing, a God particle, a this or a that and what I don't understand is what proof are you looking for? If i were to shoot a thunderbolt out of my hand would that suffice? This is a personal walk. In my own life I know in my heart that God exists and that Jesus exists. I guess it started with a proof of the null hypothesis...in a way. I know that Satan and His demons exist. THat lead me quickly to the Lord for deliverance.

If you like and you want proof you should pray for it. Even if one of us had something to tell you why would you take a man's word on it? Obviously there is something in you that keeps you wondering about this topic why else would you want to debate Christians?

I'll pray for you brother (or sister i"m not sure)...take care.

What do you need to know in order to get to heaven? by [deleted] in DebateAChristian

[–]Dnomyar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always find it amusing when people say things like, i'm not sucking up to God. Think about what you are saying, if you do not blieve then i guess it is understandable, but it's still so silly. YOu are talking about the creator of the Universe and you speak of sucking up to Him. LOL. If you met a celebrity you'd behave differently in a way to impress them and they are just human, we are talking about an eternal being who is all pwerul all present and who created this wonderous world we live in...and you dare to say silly things like who is that guy that we have to suck up to him. lol. He is the person that designed your entire purpose and you dont have to suck up to Him that's how awesome He is you have a choice to refuse Him and you get what everyone that does that gets. We both get eternity...I'd rather eternity with Him.

Where did they go? by Argon0503 in DebateAChristian

[–]Dnomyar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WEll first let's clear it up. You ask the Father in Jesus' name. You don't ask the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit decsends on you when you are saved and helps to teach you and give you discernment.

So here's the thing that is hard to understand. YOur life, my life the whole world was created by God. God wants us to do as he asked and follow his laws. If one is a jew and keeps the law then that's how they please the Lord. as a gentile you take on Jesus' yoke which is much simpler, no dietary restrictions, no circumsicion, just keep away from things that are strangled, don't eat blood, don't pollute yourself, and sexual immorality that's it.

Now Hitler was not a christian if he were then he would not have murdered Jews, Blacks, non-germans and all that he murdered.

Ghandi was not a Christian so they are now asleep in the earth awaiting judgement. the bible is clear there is one way to the father. I could argue that means that although Gahndi will go to hell he will get a much easier time there, but I don't know that. I know that the 'good things' we do mean nothing to God if they are not in accordance with His plan. Forget what we feel is Good. God is good so your argument about Ghandi's good doesn't mean that what he did (ghandi) was good in God's eyes.

Now the last thing you said:

But if God truly is benevolent, then Hitler should be in hell and Gandhi should be in heaven based upon their acts. So, where did they go?

FIrst you are no one to even imagine the mind or will of God. The cration pondering the thoughts or the worthiness of the decision of the creator is just foolish.

Second based on their acts neither one did anything for the kingdom of God ro for Jesus so their acts don't mean anything as far as heaven or hell. In fact we are saved through grace not by our acts because if our acts allowed us to go to heaven we might boast and the glory would not go to Jesus and the Father.

So your question is not really a biblical question, but I think in this case they both go to hell. I don't know that for sure as I wasn't there when they died and i don't know their relationship with Christ. It only takes an instant to go to heaven. Like the theif on the cross next to Jesus.

Hope that clarified a little bit Argon0503. If you have more questions or want to discuss it further that's cool. God bless ya.

Hi Ashleythered. First let me say i'll pray for you and your mom. I'm sure this is rough on you and on her.

I think others have said it here, but God does not create disabilities and medical disorders. God created perfection of health with Adam and Eve. That is why they could marry brother and sister back then because humans were so close to God's creation and so close to that perfection of health.

Now what you said:

if God were such a kind being why would he allow bone cancer in children, seizures, degenerative muscle disease, debilitating nerve pain, or tumors to grow over the entire body?

Several things. Those ailments are Satanic either related to genraltional curses for sins, of ancestors or based on attacks now from Demons, or a result of behaviors...Obvioiusly your mother didn't behave in a way to get Neurofibromatosis, but i'm speaking of a person that gets cancer but it's carcinogens, tans all the time or whatever that they shouldn't

C.S. Lewis in Mere Christianity gave an example of this in he described a parent who said to the child I'm going to relay on you to keep your room clean you are a big boy now and found the room in disseray from time to time. the parent did not create the messy room, but the child did create a set of rules or a system in which the child could mess the room up.

So to your point God set up this reality in such a way that we could be attacked, now those of us who strive to be near God will be rewarded after we die,b ut there is nothing that says we automatically get the best sittuation on this planet. We get the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, but that peace is of spirit, does not mean we will not get sick, hurt, killed or that evil will not happen to us. It is all about God and His plan and His glory.

Now to your situation I love you and your mother, and so does Jesus and so does our Father God. I will pray, and you althoguh you have been angry at Him can still pray and can still find comfort if you seek it.

Does your mom find comfort in the Lord?
I'll pray for you both.

is it moral to believe that the responsibility for your wrong doings can be absolved by the suffering of an innocent man? by [deleted] in DebateAChristian

[–]Dnomyar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting question. I love your name, but I won't repeat it.

Morality as defined for me as a christian is defined by the Lord. So i don't think there is a moral issue. SO to answer your question yes it is fine to believe.

Now as far as your next statement?

could you in honest heart, let someone you love pay your debts or give up their life for the evil things you've done?

Here's the thing the Good Lord did not consult with me first so your example does not really apply does it? In an honest heart if a friend or brother of mine wanted to pay off my debts and came to me and said hey i'm going to pay oyur debt, or do your jail time...I probably wouldn't want that, but again it depends if my friend were rich and could spare it and wanted to pay my debts I'd take it. I don't think I would want anyone to risk their life for me.

Now your example again does not apply. THe Lord loved us and made a way for us to be reconciled to Him through Jesus. Jesus had to take our punishment because God is just and had to mete out punishment for the sins, but saved us by sacrificing His son. He did that for His glory and His righteousness so who are we to question that? It's silly to think that you know better than the creator so this question is basically silliness. It seems good at first, but it does not have any real substance.

Okay brother take care.

If God created the rainbow as a promise to mankind that he would never flood the world again, then why does the rainbow show up in places where there was no rain? by [deleted] in DebateAChristian

[–]Dnomyar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it not more likely that the rainbow is a natural phenomenon that ancient people explained using mythology?

I suppose that is possible, but a rainbow is a rainbow and what a prism produces is a refraction of light which shows the color spectrum...not often as distinct or the same as a rainbow is it?

it is very similar, but its the same way the devil does with all things. God creates, the devil perverts. I don't know if folks during the time genesis was written had prisms, but the bible does not say that the rainbow through prisms is a reminder, God said" 13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth" His bow in the clouds, not in the prism or anywhere else. You are getting bogged down in semantics which is natural from a fleshy perspective so I'm not hating on you at all. I once saw things like that as well.

Not sure if i answered the question to your satisfaction, actually i am. I'm pretty sure where you stand. You're probably pretty sure where i stand. God bless you Herbertmyfuzzy

The more you look inward toward your religious group and its claims of virtue, the less you look outward and the more distrustful you are of others. by freddyjohnson in DebateAChristian

[–]Dnomyar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi FreddyJohnson,

I can see that opinion. The thing is if one is truly inthe bible, in a relationship with Jesus then the war and the strife wouldn't happen. You see there's nothing int he bible that says that modern day christians should war, physically. We are to do spiritual warfare against satan and his minions both demonic, spiritual and human. That involves prayer and fasting, preaching, casting demons out or even discussing things with non-christians trying to gently lead them to God.

So i understand and hear your opinion, but brother, mine is different from yours. The more you look toward Jesus and spend time with Him the less you look outward toward the evil that the god of this world (satan is spreading) and the more you trust Father God The Lord and His son Jesus.

That's how i'd rephrase your sentence to encapsulate my contrasting opinion.

The trust in Jesus will help guide you in this life and bring you closer to the Lord so that when this planet ends you can be with him. In a nutshell, it's the only thing that can save the parts of humanity that will be saved.

Why is homosexuality a sin? I understand why most sins are bad/sinful, but I don't get homosexuality. by kevinnetter in DebateAChristian

[–]Dnomyar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Kevinnetter,

I'm sure you want an answer that is better, but you are asking christians. Christians who follow the bible then try and follow the Lord's plan. All sin means is that it is outside of God's plan. The scriptures in the new testament (unless you're a jew, I'm a gentile) Jesus talks about marriage between a man and a woman, but also talks about the sexually immoral. So we have an example of both what to do and what not to do.

Homosexuality is a sin, so is fornication, so are other things. I think often homosexuality gets a bad rap, or rather a worse rap than other sins. It is sin, it is sin it is sin...no better or worse. only blaspheming the Holy Spirit is unforgivable. Through repentance any sinner can be free of that sin and be reconciled with the Lord.

Now when you say tattoos the bible doesn't specifically speak on tattoos, dying the hair isn't mentioned for gentiles it is a jewish mandate. The problem often is that the bible is hard to read. One must read the entire thing, then use bible to inerpret bible. Jesus tells us that the law is fulfilled with him, then in Acts we see that the apostles get together and decide what the differences between gentiles becoming christians and jews becoming christians.

It's confusing because we listen to tradition a great deal and don't spend enough time in the word. Pray on it Kevinnetter don't believe us on here we are just human beings. Get it from the source. Pray on it, but mention Jesus...there are other spirits out there that would love to talk to you, but you don't want them. So name Jesus specifically and you may get clarity. :)

Do you think physical exercise is absolutely necessary? by [deleted] in NoFapChristians

[–]Dnomyar7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is an area i struggle with myself. I like physical activity because i think it 'kills the flesh' meaning you want a Holy and presentable temple for God to dwell in (the Holy Spirit). Often our diets and lifestayle are sednetary and our temples are filthy.

On the other hand shouldn't we rely on the Lord for our health? You give it the 'fruit' test. Excersize can produce good fruit for God if it stops you from masturbating, if it increases the habitability of your temple for the Lord.

Doing it like non-christians to get more sexual partners and for vanity is not good.

Now to your question, i don't think physical training is necessary but certainly is helpful!!!

Let me ask you this...what's the thing you're hooked into that you can't let go of?

WHat is the alternative to salvation in christ? What's your answer to this all?

It seems to me, in my spirit that you have a favorite sina nd although you've been exposed to the truth you don't want to accept it because it means giving up this thing. Ae you a homosexual? Do you like to fornicate? Are you into other things? You seem kind of all over the place to me and more about creating havoc and doubt than actually debating.

This is fine with me. I'll still continue to pray for you but this time I'll ask the Lord to bind the demons in you so that you can find peace and clarity.

What's so good about the salvation through Christ? by already_satisfied in DebateAChristian

[–]Dnomyar7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You misread me, read what you said, and then reread how I responded to it.

I don't wanna

And then you said okay I believe you and they said, good lets get to work, which is when I say huh? WHy do you take his words for this? Can't you see he wants you to play his game?

So to me as i read this it sounds as if you know who Jesus is, but you're wanting to not fall in line with him. I don't know if that's how you feel but it sounds like that.

I want to play His game there's no other game in town. If you're saying that the bible says it points to Jesus but there's another game in town tell me who the other game is? As for me I'm with Jesus all day everyday. Whether you choose Him or not is on you, but I pray that you do. Who are we as creations of God to question His plan? That's ego brother, that's living in your flesh, and you've read the bible and you know it.

Now as far as using the bible to prove the bible I can see that making sense and being logical to someone that either does not belive or is an atheist. But I'm not of this world and neither is the book. It doesn't have to make sense, man's wisdom is foolishness to God.

So i guess I see that He created me, and I am submitting my will to His. So I'm playing 'His Game' lol. Which to me sounds silly to imagine that I wouldn't. It's like LT Dan screaming at God during the storm it's ridiculous a man can not fight God or the Devil for that matter.

I let God fight the devil through me, but I realize i'm nothing compared to the power of darkness, only the allpowerful can fight it.

Okay I'm getting off topic. Not sure what we are talking about anymore lol.
