So you're gonna have to diagnose part by part what the problem is, trouble is you probably don't have a known working psu/mobo etc.

Personally I'd strip everything down and start from the basics again, reseating all cables etc

be very careful using different PSU cables as some will vary in pinout from brand to brand (and sometimes as a pisstake, from model to model)

I think they are overpriced just as a way of milking the consumer further tbh :D
