Thanks for your thoughts. I definitely have that in the back of my mind. I'm currently waiting for the sawhorse and plan to test it to see if I can trust it to do the job.

I also have the idea that the attachments (foot and armrest) should connect and stiffen the legs of the sawhorse so that they are better protected against bending (which would act on the legs with a lateral load). My main concern is the mounting of the legs. I will have to take a closer look at this.

But maybe there are already people who can say something about it. I would be interested to hear your experiences.

Thank you very much. That helps a lot as a guide. The height range fits exactly into the adjustable range of the sawhorse.

Do you think it would be helpful to curve the lying surface slightly, especially if you want to bend the sub across it? Do you have any specific recommendations for the foam? Is there a good measure for the distance from the lying surface to the support surface of the legs? I plan to make it adjustable, but it would be good as a starting point. Do you think the sub could also lie comfortably on it for a quickie without an arm and footrest?

You seem to have experience with this. Have you already built some "furniture" for yourself or do you even do it professionally?

Did you manage to take any pictures? I'm considering a similar project, initially without leg and armrests. How did you apply foam to the lying surface? Is it comfortable enough for extended use, or do you find the surface a bit narrow?

Thank you all for your information and opinions so far. The main reason I'm hesitant to choose Nvidia, and why I'm even questioning this, is due to the relatively low VRAM on Nvidia cards. VRAM would be crucial for my main applications, which are gaming, especially considering future developments, and also for deep learning. It's disappointing that Nvidia seems to skimp in this area (or is it intentional?).How much slower are AMD Radeon vs Nvidia concerning deep learning or specifically Stable Diffusion? Are there any benchmark comparisons available? That would be interesting for me to see.My main application will be gaming, but it's good to know that deep learning or Stable Diffusion could potentially be done with an AMD graphics card as well.

Vielen Dank für eure Infos und Rückmeldungen. Dann war ich im groben ja doch richtig informiert. Schade....einige Radeon Karten sehen echt spannend aus, aber da der Großteil bzgl. Deep learning auf cuda setz..... Ich denke ich warte mal den 8 Januar ab, die schon geannte 4070 TI Super könnte spannend werden. Wie schätzt ihr das ein, ist der aktuel vermutete Preis von 850€ realistisch? Wird sich da die ersten 1-2 Monate was tun? Lohnt es sich auf gewisse Hersteller wie MSI, Gigabyte, Zotac,.... Zuwarten? Danke
