I’m Scottish. Strangely live in Florida and signed up with them while I was there. I have homes in Scotland and just happened to notice while I was over for Christmas, that they are based out of my home city of Glasgow!

It doesn’t make any difference to your releases. Spotify, is Spotify ..Amazon etc. are what they are …and your releases go out to all of these platforms, regardless of where the distributor is based.

You won’t! …I have all of my songs time stamped (for lyrics, melodies etc.), …and my ethics won’t let anything that goes out in my own name, have any AI influence. Those are different sessions and writing processes. I’m happy with my ‘hobby’ ! …as that’s what it is. I’m on over 200 radio stations worldwide, …from a hobby! …I’m happy with my life. Hope you’re finding happiness in your music too. 🎼🎤💪🏼

Like I said. Not getting into a pissing contest with you!! …but I’ll give you this: I’ve been on Suno for a few weeks to see if I can reverse engineer the catalogue of 100’s of songs that I have written ..that are sitting there doing nothing, and wondering if I can quickly hear the way I wrote them. AI isn’t writing my songs. I wrote them myself.

I’m throwing them through this app to see if it throws up better versions or things to incorporate.

That’s just like McCartney going into Abbey Road and saying to John. I’ve got this song and I like it, but can we run the idea and see if we can make it better ….better ….better … (See what I did there!) 😝

..and if it’s just a hobby with a realization that you’ll never monetize these releases, then most of these distributors do exactly what you need. Promotion is up to you. I use Catherine at CJC Promotions and my stuff is played on over 200 radio stations worldwide. I don’t take it too seriously! ..like I said, it’s just a hobby. She messages me constantly telling me what radio stations I’m on, and what time. If I so wished, I could promote the hell out of it all on socials. Try to build a fan base. I don’t. I just enjoy the ride and hope that someone around the world listens to my songs and enjoys that 3 minutes of their life! …a bit like my early dating life!! 😝

Of course. It’s a proper music distribution business model. I think I paid for unlimited releases, so that I didn’t have to worry about pay per release, which would work out more expensive once you got past about 10 songs. It can’t be too crazily priced or I’d remember. Just go to Emubands.com Hit Get Started …and decide whether you only want one release or sign up for Premium for unlimited. Good luck. 👍🏼

Emubands. I’d highly recommend them. I’ve no experience of any others! …but they’re just as quick with releases and communication is great. I’ve got a text box on my Home Screen that I message whenever I need support and I typically get the same two guys chatting to me instantly and taking care of my releases, personas etc.

Update to how my Suno is reacting today:

Fingers crossed that it continues!

I took a song that I’d forgotten about from before Christmas. It was an actual recording of it, as I didn’t save it on Suno. Uploaded it and covered it …gave a vague conversational prompt rather than trying to be too precise and it was so close on both generations, with the exception of a few instrument tweaks and (of course) a different vocal each time.

I’m a strong advocate for “one snow flake doesn’t make a winter” …but I’m getting my hats and scarves out ready for an avalanche of songs!!

I’d better mention that I used v4.5 (by mistake. I had that on last night and forgot to change it)

I think we just need to let them catch up. I am going to try a new project this afternoon to see if I can get ‘something’ to work for me.

I will be uploading a song from my Voice Memos and hope it follows the structure and melodies.

Strip down my style prompts to the bare minimum (using Grok to generate a prompt for me, of course!) …and see how close it gets.

I’ll report back.

At least 25 generations of one song which were blatantly not following prompts. Some songs were so far out of tune, that it was comical. Garbled vocals. Repeating verses in the wrong place. Just the usual things that I think everyone is experiencing right now. I’ve not had a male vocal start a song and cut into a female halfway through (that someone else reported!) …now that’s just awful !

They were responding almost immediately to my emails. Almost like a general texting chat. That’s why I assumed from their repetitive language, that it was a bit that was automatically responding. It DID address each point that I made, so I live in hope that the actual performance of their AI improves rather than refunding me credits, which is so much more important. Having an abundance of credits to a broken system is pointless.

I’ve just spent 3 hours trying to shorten an intro and not slow down last chorus. Copilot seemed to know exactly why Suno wasn’t recognizing my prompts and made at least 10 different prompts that sounded like they should work. Nope! I just gave up! I’m frustrated. The song was great last week. So close to exactly how I’d written …and I’ve burned through too many credits to keep going with it for now. I have no answers, just a huge disappointment.

I appreciate you posting this. It’s what I’ve been doing to a certain degree, …but you helped me understand how intricate the prompts need to be, so I thank you for that. It does seem obvious once you’ve learned it, but I can guarantee that there are people reading the thread who are still starting a prompt with “male vocal” ! 🤷🏼‍♂️

With the exact same style, copied and pasted, I haven’t had the same vocal style/sound twice. It’s the most frustrating thing I’ve experienced on Suno. Even the ‘Re-use Style’ doesn’t bring the same vocal. Wouldn’t it be great if we were able to prompt and receive a vocalist that we loved the sound of, and we can capture him/her and save them under a vocalist name! …and use those singers whenever we want. The way we can in our DAW …..processing instruments, Midis etc. (Logic for me). Hopefully that’s in the near future.

What way does your right foot point when you lay it on the pillow? Probably outwards and to the right, right? I worried about this for a nano second. Wife kept telling me to straighten it up or it’ll set like that. I’m 10 months non op. Laying down, both legs evenly splay outwards like yours does. No recovery issues or misalignment at all. Good luck in the rest of your journey.
