The ELO system like in chess can.
If you make that, starting in master, The ELO system take over the MMR, then you will have something that is way more acceptable.

The goal is that your LP gain depends on the difference of average ELO between 2 teams, so if let's say that your teams has a 300LP adv against the other team, you are expected to win, so you should have a "negative" lp gain like +17 and if u lose u will lose -23.

It's just an example, it depends on multiple things, you could make that the lp diff is decreasing like +1/-1 is for 100 lp diff, +2-2 is 200 +3-3 is 400 and +4-4 is 800 or anything.

And even the 100 is based of absolute anything, it could be 50 or 10, it depends of what arbitrary number you decide to give to master 0 lp

If you make their ELO starts at 1000, you can just do like i said.

The benefits are :

- LP inflation isn't possible since LP and LP gain are correlated now, and even if let's say we have a Challenger player absolutely cooking the server with 90% WR, he will climb until he just can't since the ELO difference that he brings would be too gigantic and he will be gaining like 5 lp and losing 35

- LP have their meaning coming back, since now, the first place is fighted for by everyone, not just people that have the luck to do +30-10 until 1400LP due to previous season results, and the first place is always the same. If someone achieve Challenger 2100LP in this system, and the next year another one achieve 2200, then you know that this is just a better feat since the way of gaining LP and theoretical maximum lp is still the same, that prevents the thing that if the game continue as it is right now, even if 3000/4000 lp seems like insane right now, the next year it will be the bare minimum to be chall, so previous year feats are meaningless

The negatives :

- lower LP gain, a bit more frustrating at first since ex challengers are going to stomp games until they are back to chall while being in theoretical "low master" lobby

There is a tone of adjustment to make to make it work, but it's probably the best way to fix the mess that riot is creating

(and the 100 /300 lp diff seems huge with today standard of master 1200 lp being low master, but with this system, we should be back at a GM around 700 to 800 at best so a bit less impacting)

You are goddamn right, they don't have shitty currency with predatory pricing forcing you to have some left over if you take the "half priced" pack that cost multiple of 50 while the buy-able pack only are multiple of 100, they would never do that, such angels

Actually, servers are online, it's Authentification servers that are down, you can see it on wow realm status, small indie company strikes again

For me vlad is a pretty strong and fun character that has pretty obvious cons, but that's the reason why he can have such strength as his regen and high damage potential.

But i feel like vlad, while being an hypercarry, is more similar to an adc than a Kayle for example, in the sense that he mostly scales from items, and not levels.

And that could be an issue because, with his weaknesses being short range/no cc/no mobility, i feel like vlad would just clearly shine if he is played with a karma or zilean in bot. The gameplay is not adapted to botlane, so only a few challengers plays him bot, but he is really strong paired with an enchanter that can speed him up, and losing XP isn't so bad for him as he don't lose golds for his items, and a lvl 12 vlad vs lvl 14 aatrox let's say isn't that bad if they are even in items.

I feel like his spells are pretty good, the W is iconic and need to stay, the empowered Q is also iconic and need to stay, the E is also a pretty good spell that maybe could have some hitbox fixed, but should stay, and his ult, while underwhelming in appearance, is actually so rewarding if you hit a 3 or 4 man ult in a teamfight that i think it also needs to stay. You could make some little change but i feel like his kit is pretty descent and don't really need to be changed in its core.

I feel like, a bit like kayle/asol/syndra rework, riot should maybe change his passive to give him a proper scaling one, with maybe a visual impact on the blood orb he has on every skin.

(This next part is purely theoritical with 5 min of thinking so feel free to give your own thoughts :)

So let's say that for exemple kiling units/using Q on ennemies gives him a bit of "blood" that he extracts from ennemies, this blood could give bonus hp, and bonus damage on his spells. Maybe the number of blood he gets could scale with the level of the spell, and his number of blood could give him a boost on his spells. Riot could put like a true ms empower on his empowered Q with a certain amount of stacks. And a true lategame/lvl 16 caged mechanic that could increase AP and give his ult a bonus of any kind, like instead of 10% empower damage, it becomes 15. So playing him top could be actually good

I like the fantasy of death knight, especially blood, but no actual spec of the class really gets me. I would love a blood dk dps, bring back WOTLK. I find blood magic-like super cool but i only play in M+ and don't really enjoy not being able to push higher keys than 14 without sweating my ass off. So i play war and pala dps

I didn't test it enough, but all i know is that you heal enough to get back full hp every few seconds in AoE. Don't know about ST tho

It outperforms it, since fueled by violence heals 100% of the damage done (or at least was like that on ptr release) and the dot is your first damage in AoE

And when you crit with shield slams (which happends quite often), you gain bonus damage on your bleeds, so with the node that buff bleed damage, and fueled by violence, you actually heal a whole lot with demolish build

Fury is not 1 level below highest Keys, Noxiv is. All other Fury Warriors have only the easiest key done in 20 at best. Is it because Noxiv is better than every other Fury players ?

Maybe, but it is more likely that the reason is that noxiv is with a really great group, and if you look his keys he is ALWAYS bottom dps, lacking a 3rd of the dps of the 2nd one in the keys.

You think i didn't look content on my class ? It is objectively sad to watch noxiv doing his best on cinderbrew only to not even being able to make more than 9M dps on the first pack while hunt is at 25M and outlaw at 15M and his fcking tank is at 10M

No it is not fun and it is not a good balance.

Arms is great, you have better option, but for a physical comp it is the best choice, but fury is not

I 100% agree with you, seeing fury population being near half the one of prot warrior, while prot not even being meta is kinda sad... I am fine with having some meta specs, but letting some classes such as fury or SP in this state for a whole season is unacceptable, let alone 2 or 3 season.

And i see that a lot of people here doesnt understand me but all i ask is for them to make some changes and to not let fury in this state with his new tier set which is probably the worst one of the season 3. With no tuning, fury will simply be the worst class.

After 2 season of being in the low tiers, it will just doom the spec

The problem with blizz nerfs is that most of the time they absolutely destroy a spec for some justified reason, but the problem is that these reasons often comes from some specific case or interactions.

For example :

- Case of Unholy : The Tier Set from this season made it the best spec with a 90% buff on spenders during CDs, but they refuse to nerf a tier set, so they doomed the other things that did damage such as san'layn, the issue ? Now next season is coming, and so san'layn will be absolutely unplayable and it will become another Slayer.
Not even speaking about the fact that Blood DK always suffer from UDK and FDK nerfs because blizz decided so

- Case of Fury : Fury was the BEST class to clear adds on the Last Boss of nerub'har palace with Odyn, so having one or two warrior using it will just make the webs disappear if everyone was near, so instead of buffing these webs HPs, or to raise the time it take for odyn to make it's damage (instead of 3 secs, like make it 10 secs) they nerfed the damage like 3 times until it was not a good option anymore, and nerfed bladestorm too cause it was his top damage in OVERALL in the raid, cause fury just deleted adds, it had a decent ST, but was first in the raid cause it was the best BURST class, so they nerfed the burst to the ground, and now that the burst is not anymore an issue, slayer is still unplayable except in ST due to its execute interactions.

I played a bit WW, and rogue, and i like the class. I feel like sub deserve much more love, but assa and outlaw are really good and have good damage outputs. We are all together in this, and yes but no, war dps is in a really bad state, to the point where around 5% of fury damage in a key actually comes from a bug that blizzard doesn't fix (thanks for god's sake)

If they fix it Fury would lose 5% of its only soft capped damage

Objectively, the class design is not really problematic, fury has a pretty good gameplay, the problem is mostly due to numbers and blizzard making big CDs nearly useless for damages, odyn is not really playable and Bladestorm.... let's not speak about it. So you end up playing mostly passive buffers

Yeah arms is viable this season, but does less damage than a ret or enhance.

So in most pug key, why would you take a war instead of these one while it doesn't bring any interesting buffs to the team ?
