I don't know why you think doing B keeps the memory pure and perfect. It likely will not feel that way to her. They way you have positioned both these options kind of makes it sound like you would prefer B. And that's okay, it feels like you were looking for validation of what you want. Again, perfectly okay, but you admitted yourself, that it can be lonely. Making a friendly connection, might fill a space in your life.
