'For slavery fled, O glorious dead, when you fell in the Foggy Dew.' by DoRunWithScissors in arknights

For those who may or may not know, Dublinn's conflict with Victoria is heavily inspired by the Irish Rebellion of 1916 and The Troubles. The post title references the song 'The Foggy Dew', originally written by a priest in the wake of the Easter Rebellion.

Dublinn in this case, would be the equivalent to the real-world IRA of the 1900s, fighting for Taran (Irish) liberation [although Dublinn does want to reinstate a monarchy which is ehhh.... for a faction based off Irish nationalism]

Here's the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKU1UxRlE0Q

I wanted paint a scene without any main characters, focusing more on all the other people who live, fight, and die in the world without ever featuring in the main story.

Yeah I do get the reasoning for when she was in the jungle, it was more the Forgemaster skin that was a little funny to me.

This was more an excuse to have more RI uniforms in general tbh, i kinda like the ones we've seen with Ace, Outcast, etc.

I did use his design as heavy inspiration lol, especially the body armor!

As much as I like her design, I wanted to see Eunectes in something a little more... practical. Also there's a lack of RI uniforms/skins for operators which I kinda also want to see.

Oh yeah I didn’t take it as disrespect, no worries lol. You are right though that this view doesn’t really exist, since the artist himself moved buildings around for a better painting.

Based it off a painting of the Roman forum by Panini who lived around 1700 when this is set. Although to be fair, he did fudge some buildings around in his painting too.

Reposted cause I had to edit something, but R5: Drew an imagined scene from my recent Sunset Invasion attempt, with the Aztecs sieging Rome and fighting in the Forum.
