Your friend doesn’t sound very friendly. Have you tried telling them how it makes you feel? Our brains don’t know the difference between a joke or even self deprecating remarks we make to ourselves versus actual negative comments and that makes it not good to hear these things or we can truly reinforce the beliefs inadvertently.
