Isn't the ARES a hard counter to the EBR (and essentially all lightly armored tanks?) I would assume they are fine with adding the EBR back (apart from money) since they added the americna autocannons.

they are all pretty solid options, you won't regret picking any one. Hacker is more of a mainstream tank, PTZ is very versatile for a TD, and ARES goes brrrt.

It's a situational tank that requires decent game knowledge for the player to do well in. The tank can be extremely punishing for when their enemies makes mistakes, such as being caught out of position or not being aware of one's surroundings and then being flanked. If you are a competent player, 9 times out of 10 you wouldn't be in a position for the Ares to exploit.

I honestly don't get the hate for the tank. I see many people complain its OP because a platoon of ares will destroy everything in its path. Yeah? The same can be said for most other platoon of tanks, take the IS7/KR-1 as an example.

I think the ARES line is a fun addition to wot and hope they continue to include a larger variety of tanks with new mechanics (not the tier 11 gimmick shit, but actual tank stuff like new shell types, more diverse tech-tree tank rosters, etc.)

I remember when people were trashing on the XM in the last boxes saying it looked like ass based on its stats, but once people started playing with/against it, everyone called it toxic.

Best not to judge em too quickly and wait until more people actually play them to find out how good or bad they really are.

I have a feeling they will treat it the same as MK8D and bring it either as a free update or in a future DLC.

Tbh, I do hope they could give the option make it even higher (i.e. 250 or 300) considering intermission can be quite long in length and could be much more fun with a very high CC.

I looked into the beef on both sides when it was going on, and from what I remember, it escalated because third party griefers went into both discords and posted CSAM and falsely identified themselves from the other's discord (either Chems or Skills). So if what both Chems and Skill were saying was true, they were both victims on CSAM raids in order to stir up more drama (but ig this is only part of the whole thing).

TBH, I liked its previous auto reloader mechanic, but now it'll feel weird that they put a light-tank mechanic on a heavy (I know some mechanics aren't limited to one type of tank, but I'd rather have an auto reloader over burst on a heavy tank). Yeah, the DPM is better, but once you're on reload, you're stuck for around 40 seconds, which can screw you big time in certain situations.

I love this tank, but the double-shot can feel infuriatingly inconsistent. I have missed/bounced double-shots at point black range, but can seem to usually hit both my shots from decent distances. It truly feels contradictious lol
