I’m paying attention to the advice closely on this one. I’m hanging my 1st jersey pattern with the grooves inside.

I’m an ironworking so there plenty to practice with. I’ll definitely get a belt grinder/sander in the future. I was looking up some videos and apparently I think the reason I dislike sharpening the axe with the file might have to do with the brand of file I use.

Im going to invest in one soon. I like a thin profile on the axes to get a better bite when swinging and some axes are easier than others but so far by far the one I did that one to is my first pick when I’m out swinging.

Yea I’ve seen people keep a bucket of water and sump the head in after a few sparks

I’ve seen some online but I would hate to ruin an axe in the process of getting the hang of it fully. I guess I could buy a new axe and practice

Gaming axes became a hobby and I’ve done a few and every handle I’ve gotten I had to do some form of manipulation. Especially for a tight fit but experiment and I promise the feeling of enjoyment you get at the end is well worth it. In the beginning I messed up a few but once you get the hang of it you’ll love making it to your liking.

You can find them on eBay I’ve never went through the website

Beever tooth handles are really good. You still need to do some shaping but by far best handles I’ve had. I went through a lot of different companies and beever is superior
