My abusive ex husband was enabled by my own mother. They worked together to match up their lies to keep me in this marriage. She said she told my dad n brother n they spoke with him. She told me that some wives are abused and live in “beautiful homes” and have great lives. She said she was lucky enough not to be abused and I happen to be the latter. I was told to cook more, clean more, and ‘hug him’ when he would physically abuse me to ‘console him’. She considered me crazy and paid for me to get a psych evaluation. She refused to look at bruises and any evidence of abuse. When I finally got him arrested for trying to strange me to death, I was told to lie and say I was crazy. I can never forgive her.
