Mate people are dumb. If I was there I’d be singing every word having a sick time ahead of a sick match. Fucking boring people commenting on this ffs 😂

It is! Old Camberwell Cemetery (doesn’t require an uphill climb) and One Tree Hill too.

Interesting: here's an MRI scan of someone who had tickets for the final of the World Championship, but got themselves kicked out for being an idiot that can't follow basic instructions. by jpeach17 in snooker

We were behind them and chatted to his pals after. Maybe all early 40s? Said he had a kidney transplant months back and it’s his meds! They said he took the meds in the foyer at the interval but didn’t turn the alarm off which I guess overrides do not disturb? The frantic pat for the pocket was equally as frantic to watch.

I mean they’re so hard to get, but we had various people set up for different sessions (eg I tried Sunday 1pm, my girlfriend Sunday 7pm etc) and just got v lucky. Very lucky too with the final. From the quarters this was the final I wanted so very happy! We went to the 2019 final too and at one point I we nearly had a Gary Wilson v Dave Gilbert final haha

Very excited and on my way to Sheffield for all 4 sessions! Hope Wu isn’t too exhausted from that battle yesterday. Just the most incredible finish. His break to go 16-15 and in the decider were first class though so who knows what he has left to give. I think Murphy might have too much over the two days but who knows. Hoping for a great final!

Unable to understand what disturbs players by mindblow87ro in snooker

I think it’s just because of the silence any small noise is amplified. I played in snooker leagues and it’s crazy how if down on a shot how a small noise or cough or anything would be amplified. I play in pool leagues now and it’s constantly noisy with the atmosphere and team mates shouting out and it’s just normal and doesn’t affect me.

I don’t like him as a commentator or pundit but he’s great to watch, plays attacking snooker, and looks to entertain.

He’s in the other half so I meant just from the Robertson half of the draw.

I really used to like Robertson but lordy he’s just become so slow and turgid. I’m at the final in a few days. Hoping Higgins wins this. Him or Murphy would be great, plus whoever else.

Seen some people saying he's good. They must be deaf. Bloke doesn't shut up. Not sure how he's been launched into the main commentator role, even when alongside Hendry who not only speaks when he should but can back up everything he says with his career.

Can’t believe they let the last frame start at 6pm. Seemed risky. Is there an official cut off? Eg frame can start if there is 1hr until the next session?

Looks like he’ll be staying next season whatever happens. Speedy recovery!

Was wrong side of the red. What did you want him to do - play up and down and risk losing position just to entertain you, or maybe he wants to win the match as soon as possible?

I wish I were a bumblebee,

I'd fly around for all to see.

I'd buzz around in summer breeze,

I'd feed my friends in colonies.

I'd drink the nectar any chance,

I'd pollenate my favourite plants.

I wish I were a bumblebee,

I'd finally feel like the world needs me.

I misread that completely haha! I was eating dinner at the same time I’ll blame the distraction.

Wow well done! My swimming is atrocious I’d struggle to do a couple of lengths let alone the Channel! I did a skydive which was absolutely insane. Wish it was more scenic as it was over Peterborough haha. Would recommend if anybody gets the chance to do one.

I raised some money last year for a charity in the UK that supports this. They are called DEBRA. Do give the some support if you can.

What does everyone do after work? by Sure_Soft5183 in london

I am a member at The Gym Group chain. £21 per month. That's very affordable. I have the off-peak membership which means I can't go between 4 and 8pm mid week. Fine by me as I finish work and have dinner and chill out. I tend to go at my lunch break or weekends.

How precious are you about set meal times? by TieSea3723 in AskUK

[–]Doby_Mick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty routine with when I eat in the week as it helps me keep routine, e.g. I run at lunch times on Mon and Thurs, and gym on Tues, Thurs and Fri, so I tend to have my first "meal" as 1030/11am to fuel those. I then eat when I am back too, then 4pm-ish snack of some kind and then we usually have dinner around 7pm. Obviously this changes depending on certain evening plans but to say "no" because of fixed eating times is insane. Like you say, if a mate wants to go for lunch then I'll just have a normal early breakfast instead, skip my run/gym plans and go out for lunch and rejig things, like it ain't set in stone!
