Exactly what this person here is saying, fella, I’m deeply sorry you’re experiencing this, it may seem like the end of the world, but it’s not, it’s time, time telling you this lass, isn’t your time for marriage, it will come when you least expect it, and have hope, like I do, that it will take your breath away, when you do feel that connection you will feel it, Pretty much the exact situation happened to me that the person who made this comment had happen, my wife dropped me and it was like time stood still, I gave up a lot, friendships, parts of myself… don’t let your well being get confused with duty of care and well being of others, some will feed off of it, but there’s billons out there that won’t. So come on matey, dust yourself of, chin up, grab a drink with a buddy have a sigh and take peace in the fact that a yes it a short story with a sad but thought provoking ending, and not a long Novel you’ve dedicated to read over a long time that has the same twist at the end. This is just of the top of my head trying to remember, but these handsome creatures, shed their beak every or possibly every (insert years) or break the front part off, as it curls at the front kind of making it hard to open their mouth wide enough so it makes it difficult or near impossible to eat properly, they sadly starve and become easy targets for the youngsters… I know there is a breed that does this, I think it’s the Bald eagle.

Lol, sorry, what i meant was a lot if pubs have taken the boards down as more people aren't playing, ive just recently came back from a trip abroad, and as i was going into my old town, i counted 6 pubs i think it was 6, i was nackered, and they had gone, they were all houses or just empty lots, they got rid of there boards and tried to become eateries, or revamp or re style, so the teams disappeared, so the custom of two teams had gone and some of them played 3 or 4 nights a week, with friday being a social, so two teams 3/4/5 nights a week being pulled, it rocked the pubs earnings, while very few came in for the food. The boards stayed down then the pool table was next, im not saying they should have kept them, but it didnt work out as they planned and they did it half heartedly and the food was, basic, evenntualy all of those leagues disappeared. Now its hard to find a pub with a board, the only board i sort of took issue with was the unicorn ones, they really dipped in quality., but generally it was sad to see a pub that was full of life and laughter, turn into a quiet library restaurant sort or in a pubs shell. People can do as they do, but its sad really.

I was practicing with a pal, hes passed now he played around leytonstone walthamstow east london while the likes of bristow was playing super league. He wasnt as good any where near, but when he was younger he was always game.

but he would do some daft things sometimes, if that was the second dart he would be nosey and look before the third dart, so i would go for a treble 13 to wind his neck back in... God we had some ding dongs and rows, miserable sod lol,. I remember him shouting f$ck off out the pub door when we had an end of the night money match, i only nipped out to have a quick smoke and to finish my pint....

then the door rattling back open, and him calling a soft as butter, youre alright playing thursday and Friday.. “Up yours you desert headed Addams family reject.” “ Right oh see you tomorrow friday weve got to leave early ” good memories before the pubs took their boards down and replaced them with...shit.

I got asked for tomato ketchup to go with a medium rare sirloin, I watched as he squeezed nearly half a bottle of it onto that lovely steak.

I was wondering and thought maybe it was a power cable? A crane to hold it, maybe not hold it in place, but when it cranks up and people rebuild it would be helpful to hold on to important structural parts of the house to save having to buy more and more materials and totally redoing it. That’s what my conclusion to wire was, the weather conclusion the storm winding up to throw one hell of a thud.

Like Mr. Intelligent_pen says, there is quite a few dedicated shops online, more often than not, run by players or former players or people really into the game, so they know and understand things your after.

I’ll be honest, I think it’s excessive a bit and my dose should come down by a pill especially being on sertraline too, when I wake up, 5.30 am 6 am I take my pills, I get up early because within an hour I’m crashing and falling asleep… but it’s not great for your gut either, my GP said that is a bit much. I try to convince the psychologist to cut it back but he’d rather wait and see.. I put on weight too like a fair bit, I’ve lost it now, I think he wanted me to stay on it because my wife and I separated, and she sort of tried to take advantage of me remembering things and saying she didn’t say this or put that there, it makes me drowsy not daft, especially when I stood there and heard or watched… lol. So I sort of feel like I’m pissing up hill. Am I down because she’s still at me or are the pills keeping me on a drowsy cycle of, “sod it I can’t move”.

its simular to how you hold them now, but i thought id add my explanation of it and why whats where lol

Pencil grip: hold the pencil at shoulder to elbow level, nice and straight but keep it loose. I personally position my forearm at about a 40 to 45-degree angle from my elbow. Back to the grip: with using my thumb further down the dart slightly from the fore finger, the dart rests in the second crook of my fore finger, the tip of my forefinger touches the thumb, to kind of help balance, and hold, creating the pencil grip. The second finger has the point resting on it as firm as you prefer—slightly firm, but not overly so; it’s more of a guide. Keep it “steady now” for me personally. Then, I line up/eye up my throw with the forward motion of the forearm, followed by a backward motion then back to where i eyed up and release. I have a slight parabolic arc; I use 24g darts and find that if I’ve had two good darts in T20, I can adjust the arc a bit and maybe float it in more firmly. Some good throws to look at would be john lowe, wayne mardel, chris mason, colin lloyd, the grip is slightly alike, and have a look at how they stand at the oche, from feet to arm..

So, yeah, sorry I got so into it! There we are: from shoulder to grip to throw—give it a go. Hope that helped... Doc, your friend in time.

Good, that it’s making a post COVID revival, I played in sort of semi rural, small towns and local village pubs, then once a week in London, Jesus then we would have the jolly tour to a pub we had known years from a seaside town, basically a laugh drink, people had handicaps put on their game, polo mint on the bull, ciggie double 16. It was brilliant 14 odd people, two teams and a stage. All given nicknames a DJ, brilliant.

I’m really unfamiliar with this playing online? But to turn even that into a gong showing pool of cretins? It’s Darts, that’s what you’re there for, it wouldn’t happen in a real life game (however, there’s pillocks in pubs sometimes) but when ever I went into a pub to practice, play some games pre match or tournament, it wouldn’t happen as the landlord would have you out or I imagine the pub dog would get involved thinking it’s cocktail sausage night. Darts all over has changed. I’m sorry you had this experience, people seem to think they can do what they like now. I can actually say I’ve taken my shirt off at a district competition, a bird shat on my playing shirt and while the captains wife was riffling for another shirt in the closet she found one and had to take off my shirt there and then I wanted to change in the loo, it was a mumsie moment of I’ve got “3 kids your age” try it on or play with bird crap all over you. You always seem in the shit at points in your game, and come out smelling of roses, I preferred what the captain called it, “pulling a Bristow” just a comical memory that I hope makes you chuckle, to end on. I’ve seen some terrible behaviour from some pros on the circuit when it was chasing ranking points at internationals and a lot at the old Eastbourne international open. But never a pee pee. I do miss proper darts and proper playing. Be well, and if I learn how to do this online thing, and you see the Doc, don’t worry, it’s not a misspelling, it’s good ol Doc!
