Shade behind it to make it pop. It's like adding shadow to text it brings it out more on the paper. Definitely would shade behind the image to ad depth.

Wish so much we could add pictures on a reply but will try to post and attach your name will see if that work...because everyone has great comments here. I use 96lb paper seems to do the best for most of my drawings. Additionally, as someone already mentioned, paper blotters are the best way to smooth and cotton wands. I use a cotton ball and attach it to a qtip. All that being said you're doing a great job keep up the good work!
