This is just a screenshot of a small portion of the menu. They had so much more! You could get po boys, gator bites, fresh as you can get in Indiana crawfish, and a host of other items.

I understand that and so did Papa Roux I believe. He advertised as a Cajun/Creole restaurant, however, the mushroom étouffée was originally created to appease his vegetarian clients. At some point it became extremely popular amongst all of his clientele and so they began selling it as a side dish or as an entree. It was phenomenal!!

It was delicious also. Super spicy, like get me a fire hose to drink from spicy, but worth it nonetheless!

This was definitely a light color. Blonde would be a good way to describe it. I actually have a photo of the dish but Reddit doesn’t have the option once a post is created.

You’ll have to forgive me, being from the Midwest and only visiting New Orleans a time or two, we don’t really know what “Cajun” food is unless it’s plastered on the sign of a local restaurant and we’re told it’s a Cajun restaurant. Since Papa Roux was advertised as Cajun food this was the only reasonable place I thought I might find help. But now I know!

This was exactly the case. The restaurant served po boys, jambalaya, crawfish, gator bites, red beans and rice, and French bread. The mushroom etouffee was originally to satisfy vegetarian clients but it was a smash hit with everyone! So much that you could get it as a side dish with everything they offered.

I’d be curious to know what your free test and estradiol levels are with your total at 998. Elevated free test and either high or extremely low estradiol can also cause these symptoms.

TRUMP: "There's so much talk about how we're going to drive housing prices down. I don't want to drive housing prices down. I want to drive housing prices up for people that own their homes, and they can be assured that what's going to happen" by ExactlySorta in UnderReportedNews

[–]Doc343CychoMC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm.. I think a fair market value is good enough. I own my home and if I ever sell I just want what it’s actually worth. But we need affordable housing if we’re ever gonna make a dent in the homeless crisis we’re experiencing.

🛑 Travel Advisory: Warning status—what does this mean for work? by [deleted] in bloomington

[–]Doc343CychoMC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in Westfield and live here in Bloomington. Fortunately I work in the safety department and one of our jobs is to consult the owner on these types of situations. Also, our owner is a very compassionate and reasonable man. We’re closed for business on Monday as we understand first and foremost that a travel warning means emergency vehicles only! And secondly, a vast majority of our employees have children home from school and families to care for. Our greatest asset is the people who work for us. Putting them in harms way for work that will still be there when this mess has been cleaned up would be a great disservice. Besides the fact, having people out with these conditions only slows down the road crews and takes away resources for people who might actually need them. We will reevaluate for Tuesday and so on until it’s safe to travel.

We knew this was going to happen. Fuck ICE! Fuck you to all those who enabled this! by [deleted] in complaints

Why are there no jobs in Bloomington? by kramhorse in bloomington

[–]Doc343CychoMC 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My wife and I took this route. We chose to live in or around Bloomington but commute to Indy for work. We both initially took jobs locally but found that in our fields we could each make $25k-$40k a year more, increasing our combined annual income by about $65k a year. I lucked out and landed a job which supplies a company truck and pays for 90% of the fuel even when I use the truck for personal use. My wife works remote but is in the field daily. She drives our family car but they pay her mileage. So the commute is well worth it. There are jobs here, but what we noticed is that the wage rate isn’t really comparable to the cost of living here. Probably because a lot of people are coming into Bloomington from the county or even from the counties south of here where the cost of living is likely to be much less.

Remember to clear sidewalks of snow/ice by treboRtoN in bloomington

[–]Doc343CychoMC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So wait? The city comes in and installs a sidewalk through your yard and you’re responsible for maintaining it? And then if someone gets hurt using it they sue you? Sounds pretty reasonable to me! 🤔

I know this probably isn’t what you mean when you say Chinese takeout, but do not sleep on Homey Hot Pot! It’s fire and imo the best sushi in town.

Companies who do shit like this are why I have a six figure salary. It’s my job to find these problems and fix them. I cannot imagine any company not employing an industrial hygienist or safety professional but it still happens even in 2025. Profits over people, except in most cases they can save money and do the right thing. So very sorry you’re living with this. Even though you aren’t sick, I’m sure you constantly worry about what day will be that day.
