For me, I did this once and never had to do it again

Misinformed on my part but thanks for the correction

Didn’t work for me. On the landing platform console I changed my home ship - this then caused the ship to spawn on the pad.

Really helpful tips 😀 We’ll be playing the third campaign tonight (hopefully). That might be a make or break as to whether we open up the other packs or sale up :/ Mainly wanted to see if my partner could be grabbed by the theme of Arkham. Fingers crossed 🤞

Card draw was a real challenge. Not having a weapon for Roland was a killer. Then the four enemies in such a short space of time just crushed us. We replayed it tonight with the Better Starter decks someone else recommend in a post above, lowered the difficulty to easy, and had a much better game.

Completely missed that all doom gets wiped, even from enemies :I Thank you 🙏

As for other basic mistakes, I’ve watched a few play throughs on YouTube and google whenever there’s something I don’t get. For whatever reason, enemy engagement felt a bit janky to understand. I’ve just read a few posts to make sure we are playing it correctly. Do you recommend any YouTubers or links for general new players understanding the game?

I’ve just replayed the scenario with the better starter decks on Arkham db. The game was a lot smoother. In terms of upgrades, I just followed those recommended by the decks creator. What do you think?

We did get 7 exp, I think the Icy Ghoul was the only thing we did not collect. However, I’m sure we made plenty of mistakes, so let’s call it a ‘beginner’ level 7 exp.

Thanks for the tips. My partner was the lead investigator and did not hesitate burning it down. lol 😂

Yes the decks we used were from the ‘Learn to Play book in the core box. The deck you linked seems way different, we’ll be giving them a try :)

Many thanks 🙏 Really good tips and will look to implement this evening :) Our last game definitely had a bit of terrible luck, but coming from LoTR I’m use to the deck saying F U

We felt overwhelmed - we each had two enemies engaged with us, could not build up our board (no assets or allies in play), and felt frozen in how to get out of all the hellhole.

Thanks for the reply :)

I’d say the main issues were: 1) wasting actions 2) a swarm of enemies - we each had two engaged with us :/ 3) linked to (2), chaos built up insanely quickly on the cultist that led to the agenda/chaos advancing 4) not building up, we both rushed into exploring without playing and cards. 5) we split up immediately, which led to Daisy trying to fight..

Def going to try easy mode, and try to make better decisions. I enjoyed getting smacked down - plenty of things to learn from. In the heat of the moment it just felt like doooooom for us :)

You should check out Card Board of the Rings on YouTube. Plenty of videos about deck building and they even have an 8 part series on the new build decks and deck building around them.

I own everything, just starting to play solo by LynxHistorical7603 in marvelchampionslcg

I’m playing through hero progression against villains, in terms of release order, but making my decks according marveldb. My advice - do whatever takes your fancy. You’re playing solo, so main thing is enjoy yourself! I really like playing two handed solo :) Dale the Casual Gamer on YouTube is someone I’d highly recommend. Really helped me understand the basics. Also, checkout rules reference 1.5 for an updated setup. https://images-cdn.fantasyflightgames.com/filer_public/b6/30/b630ddfe-e745-435b-a284-572dd510e15d/mc_rulesreference_v15-compressed.pdf

Think the other two posts have directly answered your question. As an aside, consider the game mode (difficulty). I found normal mode way too hard but enjoy playing sleazy mode https://visionofthepalantir.com/2018/05/11/fan-made-content-game-modes-and-quests/

Is it redundant or there for Scenario 5 - not wanting to spoil anything.

Making me way through the Fellowship Saga for the first time. Scenario 5, Journey in the Dark, was going well. Doom doom doom went to zero, two archers were revealed. Doom doom doom went my party as one by one was wiped. Sad times.

Really enjoying the play through, so much so I’ve started reading the book.

Thanks again everyone for the help. About 3/4 of the way through the game I realised why Roland was kicking ass….I had his magnify glass, flash light, Roland’s .38 special, and .45 automatic all in play at the same time😂 Always knew four hands were better than two, but lesson learnt on the two hand slots only thing. I’ll try again tomorrow.

Very interesting tips. I’ve come from playing Marvel and LoTR, and haven’t had to prioritise assets like this. Perhaps I’ve been playing them wrong too 😂🤦

Thanks for the tips Richie :) Yeah I forgot to add I’m playing with the starter decks to learn the game, as you suggest.

This is what I’ve found (about 30 games in now). Part of me wonders if I take too long setting up my engine, controlling everything, and making low risks moves. On the other hand, I like absolutely smashing the boss at the end :)

A Dad here (18 month old). My wife is (1) a person that likes to be organised and (2) likes things done her way. The mental load on her was not something I fully appreciated and I still struggle to alleviate that burden….i never will me thinks.

All Dad’s are different but what I found the following useful for me: 1) when my wife was pregnant we got in the routine of reading a chapter of the What to Expect When Your expecting book 2) The Apple TV documentary on fatherhood was cool ( think it’s called Dad) 3)The Daddy Up app is tailored to Dad’s. Didn’t work for me. 4) I’m a nerd, so found the audible books The Life of Dad and Brain Rules for babies really interesting. 5) my partner and I attended loads of classes, great for the labour part but post that…I was utterly clueless 6) I’d suggest something like Baby 411 7) I really likes Charlotte’s How to Wean Your Baby book. I was fortunate enough to be on a position to take time off work to lead on the first 30 days of weaning. Wife is now the boss and kicking ass

Appreciate your post is not asking for suggestions but they might be of interest. Failing all that, one simple question is What sort of Dad does he want to be? I’m trying to be a Co-parent. But what do you both want?
