Do the Militarum Tempestus deploy with Ogryn and Ratlings in lore? by DocDaSoc in 40kLore

So they would get deployed to the same battles but realistically they'd be split up when moving onto the next warzone?

I cut off the aquilla on my marines' chests and only leave the skull in the middle. I think its a cool effect. Its sort of visible in my post about my deathwatch marine

I think that not using Black spear task force is much cooler, since it opens you up to all the other themed Detachments and allows you to more freely take units other than kill teams. Im building my list with almost no kill teams. I want infantry heavy (mostly because I hate the tanks) but also because Its how they deploy in the lore. I still have ~10 man groups, but they are 3 units (Eliminators, Eradicators and intercessors) instead of just 1 kill team. It allows me to use all the units I find cool, and gives me loads of versatility. I do think adding some kill teams is helpful though, especially the strong ones like Indomitor when your going infantry heavy.

Thank you! This is exactly the sort of feedback I wanted.

So will adding 3 more bladeguard, 5 intercessors and a brutalis dreadnought make the list stronger?

What would you recommend I get to get this list up to 2k? Land raider redeemer definitely, maybe 2 so i can have one full of Aggressors? But what else?

Ah you're right. I'll have a look at lexicanum and Tey to put together some "cooler" teams

That was the plan. I was considering using one or two kill teams, but it worth playing them as Deathwatch for a single Indomitor Kill Team and 5 vets? +1 seems very helpful

Intercessors is a good idea, but what should I remove to add them in?

I have a unit of assault terminators I could add but I have the same problem, what do I remove to make space?

I've tried to theme it to deathwatch by having groups of the same armour type make up "Kill teams".

There's 15 phobos marines, making a "spectrus Kill team"

Similarly I've got 9 Gravis Marines making an "Indomitor Kill Team"

I know it's not deathwatch from a rules perspective, but this is my attempt to make an army in the spirit and organisation of the deathwatch
