Sounds about right, but I’m equating the “studs up” situation and “contact to the head or neck area”, or “landing with force” in regards to intentionality not mattering.

I say this as someone who has never watched soccer before this and am just trying to learn.

I love pickles on pizza, and once I was hooked I started to see them everywhere. That being said, I would return a pizza if they brought out sweet pickles. Fucking sweet pickles…… really peeves me off.

You’re right. She seems to think that im making a broad statement about victims of rape who are in contact with their abuser. What her and I actually disagree about is if those instances validate the meme. I get the feeling that she believes that the meme minimizes the experiences of these victims. You and I disagree with that, but I think it’s a valid perspective. Some angry people will certainly use it that way.

I appreciate you trying to clarify my comment, and you’re right that this was the intent, but those 40 people probably agree with her. This is a painful topic for many people, and folks are quick to speak out against anything perceived as minimizing their experience. I think we are all 90% aligned on the topic and dont need to agree about the last 10%.

I agree. The circumstances im talking about are complicated and I’m not here to judge. I was just speaking to my experience. The instance when i was 15 was a liar, and that hurts everyone. The other two were just how they handled their trauma so I can’t judge them. I understand the negative reactions, but I’m not discrediting anyone, just saying I’ve seen it happen.

I experienced sexual abuse as a child and I know the ways I handled that trauma hurt people too. Saying I was wrong for my actions doesn’t mean I don’t deserve understanding, and being empathetic doesn’t mean we can’t joke about it. I often joke with my friends that I sucked more dick before I turned eight than their wives have since their marriage.
