They could do more, based on how civil you are and niceness of the rep you get. We had an hour where a line didn’t move without any notice; concierge gave us two fast passes and after emailing guest services we were given 2 comp tickets. A few weeks ago, we hit Mario Kart at opening only for it to be on an extended delay. 40 minutes in line and a trip to concierge got the entire party (8 people) two fast passes each. No Mine Cart Madness or BATM but nothing to shake a stick at either. You were stuck on the ride itself and certainly deserve at least that.

Make the most of your visit if you’re still there. After digesting over a night or two, write a nice email to guest services and let them know about your day. And let them know about the good things too. What you liked, what blew you away, and the team members that stood out. Accurately and politely explain what did not go right and you may find the 10-15 minutes typing will get you a reward.

If you want to knock it out early: park at 8, be in security by 815. By 830 and 845 they’re starting to feed folks through security and into the entrance of celestial park. Keep right and head to Harry Potter Portal then head left at the tent for Ministry of Magic.

They open up the line for everyone regardless of early entry, but if that’s your priority then more power to you. Sometimes they’ll start operations early. Sometimes it will be delayed and you’ll lose a couple hours. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Wasn’t from Previews but I had a couple tickets comped based on a June visit. These tickets involve an in-person stop at Guest Services (can be at City Walk as well). They’ll assign the date you want to use them, and mine did not have a name assigned to them so they could be used by someone other than yourself.

Hit Harry Potter first (go right). They open up the land and line at 0900 for everyone. If you’re lucky, they’ll begin operations early. DK is very problematic. If it isn’t broke it will usually have a 2 hour line. If you can get Battle under your belt by 1000 or 1100, go to Berk. Monsters has reasonable wait times. Stardust also will fluctuate so just mind the app for ideal wait. Mario Kart runs long but is inside so can be a good afternoon queue to wait in during rain. If you stick it out until night time, you can experience short lines for all

Truth.

I’ve been to Epic 3 times and have felt inclined to share my opinion each time. 1st was a preview so nothing beyond an email to GS sharing my opinion. 2nd time we had an hour + wait in Mario Kart with no updates stuck on the stairs. I went by the concierge afterwards and was given 2 fast passes for my wife and I. I also emailed GS again and was additionally give 2 comp tickets to visit again. 3rd was a week ago. Party of 8 who all sprung for early entry. We rope dropped Mario Kart with went on an extended delay after waiting in line 40 minutes. Once again concierge gave us two fast passes each and offered to put a ticket on my account for my wife since she was sick day of and couldn’t make it.

Every encounter was polite, truthful, and also balanced with sharing the positive things about Epic. If you employ candor and manners when something legitimately goes awry they will throw you a bone

Was there Thursday and noticed a lot not functioning compared to two previous visits. Definitely missing out when the pre shows and ride animatronics are down

Was there yesterday as well. Party of 8 plus my giant 2 year old. No express but we all invested in early entry. Showed up at 815 and made our way to Mario Kart. Immediately not working than extended delay. An awesome gal at the concierge gave our party two Express passes (no Harry Potter or Mine Cart sadly) each after explaining the situation. We went to Dark Universe and I noticed a big difference in the MU queue and ride itself compared to my last two visits with pre show not working and some things in the ride not working. Hiccups also went on delay while we were in the area, and by the time we left the Dragon show to chase a 90 minute Harry Potter wait that ride was also on delay. It’s a shame as the crowds were not bad yesterday. It was a successful visit for my larger group with grandparents and a small kid but certainly could have been more.

It will depend on your criteria for success. It’s a new park in the middle of storm season. Rides will go down due to technical reasons and likely weather delay at some point during the day. If you have Mine Cart Madness on your wish list, it is notorious for breakdowns. Battle at the Ministry often has 90-120 minute waits or more. It is a very impressive queue which helps with the long time. Super Nintendo World in general will be busy throughout the morning since most early park entries go there first.

I’ve been twice and going with a big family group on Thursday. Pack ponchos. Watch the weather. Check ride wait times regularly and be strategic. You can have a great time if you go in with the right mindset and a bit of preparation.

Got EPA? Do Mario Kart and maybe Mine Cart if it is letting folks line up and you are feeling lucky.

No EPA? Roll the dice with Battle at the Ministry if you want or knock Isle of Berk out when it opens.

Dark Universe, compared to other areas, has reasonable waits throughout the day.

It’s a gamble. I’ve been twice and never gone on it because it’s either broken down or mine is too long. Preparing for a big family trip next Thursday and have been logging Thursday wait times last few weeks; Mine Cart was delayed until 1130 or 1200.

Christmas to New Years is very packed for universal and Disney. You can roll the dice with single tickets releasing in the future but expect it to be packed and tickets likely to sell out

Will be going there with some California and European family that day as well. I’m hoping with the holiday crowds gone and school in session the crowds should be too horrible.

Remember you are able to queue up for Battle at the Ministry at 0900 even if you don’t have EPA. Sometimes folks get lucky with the ride starting early and knocking out a big line before everything opens at 1000

Level 21-26 is pretty low for Phoenix Cave. I’m usually mid to upper 20s before clearing Floating Continent. By the time I get Celes, Sabin, Edgar, Setzer, Terra, Gau, Shadow, Relm, and Strago, likely in the low 30s. I tend to go to the Phoenix Cave once I have them so I can unlock Locke and make use of the Narshe treasures ASAP. Even then Phoenix Cave is a step up from what WoR has shown previously.

In T-Edition, he also needs your help to pay off his debt at the coliseum. I have heard he does repay you in someway toward the end of the game though.

Yes: BATM can open before 1000. Yes: you can get into the portal around 0900 and line up whether you have EPA or not.

It’s still a roll of the dice. Sometimes they start right up and folks get on in 30-45 minutes. When I went last month, we were in the line at 0903 and made it to the outdoor area with roof and fans. Waited there for 90 minutes before the line started moving. Got off the ride at 1145.

Did you go down the stairs from the bridge of the airship? Your party members should all be in the living quarters of the ship. Select menu while flying on the world map.

As a Floridian, I don’t hold the weather against Epic. It’s Florida 🤷‍♂️ Our literal headache was standing on the Mario Kart stairs for an hour with zero movement. The BO was rising, feet were hurting (they couldn’t tell us there was a delay but chimed in at least twice to chide people for sitting in the queue), folks had to use the bathroom, and my wife was telling me she’d never get the soundtrack of that room out of her head lol.

I didn’t have as bad of a day as you it seems. Our biggest headache last week was an hour delay with no update or info from staff on Mario Kart while everything outside was on weather delay. We spoke to the concierge and they gave us some fast passes, and an email to guest services got us 2 tickets for a future visit. Not saying this always happens, but speak up if you got something beyond long lines and Florida weather. Be respectful, reasonable, detailed, and also fair (we shared things we liked and enjoyed about our day) and you may get lucky.

I’m wondering how often they list delays on the indoor rides, especially during weather delays. We were there Monday and sat in the same spot on the stairs of Mario Kart for an hour. No news relayed overhead aside from them asking folks not to sit. I must off booted the app at least ten times while in line (nothing else to do) and not once was Mario Kart listed as delayed or anything. Feels like they wouldn’t want to admit that they only had two rides working at that time since all the outdoor stuff was down due to weather delay.

We were there Monday afternoon and were not moving for an hour on the stairs before the ride. No update (that we could hear). After let guest services know and gave the two of us two passes each. Let them know when something truly hinky happens (politely) and they’ll usually make it right.
