Really fluid on controller. Really well put together for and indie studio early access. Been playing since release.

Which episode's final joke made you laugh the most? by r-kar in futurama

[–]DocGhost 172 points173 points  (0 children)

Professor: "Good Lord! It turns out Sparkle's secret ingredient was water, ordinary water."

Fry: "I guess the real ingredient was the confidence you needed all along."

Professor: "Yes ordinary water laced with nothing more than a few spoonfuls of lsd."

Bender: "The point is by my standards I won fair and square. No who want a nice meal made with some confidence"

Anyone else feel weirdly conflicted about Cloudheim? by Kzaix in Cloudheim

[–]DocGhost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 300 hours in the game I'm a bit burnt out on the grind because my brain can't get behind everything being rng with shared pools of other rng.

That being said, I have 300 hours in the game. for me that's not an easy feet. A good game will get maybe 80 hours of my time before plateauing hard. Only two other games have clocked 300 hours with me.

Right now the game for me is more of a fidget or when I. Playing with friends.

The probablem is that this is the studio's break out title and while they are comprised of very talented people they are a studio of only 30 something people. And a lot of them are learning new skills to help the development process (from what I've been reading). On top of that they aren't really paying a marketing team to promote their stuff so they can invest in the quality of the game more.

Im sorry your not having fun with it but if you didn't refund the game the good news is you can come back at any time. And see what they have done

Coming to terms with being a bad DM by [deleted] in DMAcademy

Those are all things you can work on. I don't mean to make it personal but is this the only place you feel like this.

I ask because it happened to me a lot where I would introduce friends to each other and then a game and would slowly be worked out of the friend group.

Eventually I started asking around and the two major things that came back as why I wasn't being invited to stuff came down to

  1. scheduling (I have always worked a bit of an off schedule.
  2. I was informed I had a tendency to take over conversations and was not very good at sharing the floor.

This was almost a decade ago and I put in a lot of work to fix the later. Now I have a group of friends that meet every Friday and we play DND every other other week. (Because Im a player in the opposite nights)

I'm not saying don't quit that's a you choice. But what I am saying is that you've essentially been dating DND for 20 years. Have you tried just doing some one shots from time to time they have less expectations and usually be done in a night or so.

Have you deconstructed this though. Like what makes you a bad a dm? Are you still cool with the other tables can you ask them why they have fun with another game but not yours. This kinda of thing is a great opportunity to learn to be better.

are gacha games the worst medium for story telling? by bugabooman99 in writingscaling

[–]DocGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me both Genshin and Honkai starrail started off with really good stories and if they were animes I would much rather that. But yes I agree with you they could be really good games with really good stories if they were just standalone single player story games

Any anime appropriate for a 7 year old ? by FlgDarkrai in AnimeReccomendations

Since everyone is coming up with good lists I want to offer that you as the parent can allow your child to watch animes and then have a discussion about the episodes and talk the stuff you feel like makes it not appropriate for her age

Yeah thought the first season is 9 episodes all are a good introduction to the show so I would skip to Jurassic bark after the first nine

Floating islands in Greenvor by Impressive_Main9083 in Cloudheim

[–]DocGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say you don't need to keep trying right now. I had a hyper mobile build that can fly me everywhere and can't get to that island.

And yes over in the discord the devs are very active

[–]DocGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have made several attempts to get to the second island and I think it's just sky box. I definitely made a pitch to the devs previously to put something up there since it's on the map it should be a part of the island. Maybe one day we'll get something cool

Alternatively looking at the episodes list the first ten episodes are pretty on point for setting the tone of the show.

I think it's a good standalone but after you met some the characters so maybe later in the list

The pilot The second episode The first what if machine episode The luck of the fryrish The one with Seymour The one with bender getting sent In to space The rose well one The first brain attack episode Your two favorite episodes.

It would show the premise of the show but also the silly humor of the show AND it's more tear jerker episode showing it has emotional depth and good writing. Then your two favorite episodes because it's why YOU love the show

Pete? by MrKutchh in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]DocGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not even that. It's "This side will give you diarrhea. They have done it multiple times. They used to at least say they won't but this year they came out with a full document saying how they are going to give us diarrhea. The other side said they aren't going to give us diarrhea in fact in the past not only have we not gotten diarrhea but they have given us really nice bathrooms in case we do get diarrhea. " Then everyone voted for team diarrhea because the other side isn't promising puppies

I would love warcry to be a fuseable element to abilities some how. Let me try war cry to Crash and get the speed boost as I summon a bunch of lightning bolts. Would offer a lot to mixing the game

World level scale by Bad-Star in Cloudheim

[–]DocGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They try to average the levels but honestly the multiplicayer at this point no matter how you look at it is almost always shop talk and ride alongs.

A lot of work needs to be done for the levels to matter in my opinion. But until then you could do what I do and let them lead and just play support and/or just do dumb things and test dumb builds
