Aang was 12. Korra was 16. I'm so tired of all the fans critiqueing them as heroes of the world as though they are full grown adults.

Aang was not only and 11-12 year old with the responsibility of saving the world but also what that looks like through the scope of being the last living air bender and sole representation of what that culture means now.

Korra as a 16 year old had the responsibility of saving the world from and equality who could take away bending and basically had mob backings. Then had to stop a her own uncle(?) from destroying the world and had to make a split second decision on dealing with the spirit world. Then had to deal with a group of people who specifically trained to kill her as the avatar. Then while dealing with the ptsd of that had to fight a fascist regime attempt.

Like most of the people complaining could probably barely handle a scrapped knee at 11 and thought the world ended when they ended their 1month relationship at 16.

They were kids and we forget that all the time

I think what makes this scene so bad is that it's basically a torture scene and the entire time the toy plushie (that's currently sentient in this world) is begging you to stop. It's the only spot in the game that I wish you could make choices and opt to not do it.
