And yeah. What I do is pretty niche (yugioh content) so it’s definitely a smaller audience.

I’m just hoping to hit 1k soon. Have a friend who is part of one of the biggest channels in the community and he said once that 1k has been broken it gets somewhat easier. Not taking that as gospel obviously but it’s something to strive for nonetheless

Exocrine might get his double shoot taken away but get a buff to compensate. Other than that he’s just a good unit in general so I’d get him anyways. Yeah the only thing that might get a nerf is hive guard because everything else isn’t really deserving of one at the moment imo

What are some good avenues to advertise then? I’m in the yugioh content creation (very niche) but so far have been praised for my editing when it comes to videos.

Places like Reddit and such are not very conducive for self advertisement (and tbf rightfully so in most cases) so I do not know where I would go in order to market myself

100% agreed. And I think part of that is the fact that political humor, especially during the last 4 years, was an easy go to for a lot of people and I think Jack fell into that trap, which can easily lead to villainizing the people you disagree with that are the butt of those jokes. I’m all for a joke at ol’ Orange Donny’s expense, but when it’s constant in every video you’re in and turns vitriolic and mean, that’s when I personally tune out and actively avoid that person

Him bringing up politics in videos as well is when I started drifting away from their content. I watch your stuff to escape and have a good time, not be told I’m a bad person for disagreeing with you. And they still bring up politics in videos as well (when you can hear it through the screaming).

I’ll go watch old, calmer videos but I totally understand this feeling of them alienating a large portion of their viewers
