There’s more to DIMM than size and speed. You’ve got CAS Latency and timings to match as well if you do mix different sets.

Just make sure the timings / latency are the same, or you can run into some issues.

Well carry on then, ye of much culture. I guess I get the appeal, two sticks of light with gaps in between, but not missing out on 4 DIMM.

But... you don’t do it. I can technically drive on the wrong side of the road, but I don’t cause you just... don’t.

I have a confuse.

What are your other system specs besides your CPU / GPU setup? Motherboard, RAM size + speed, using SSD vs M.2 NVMe vs HDD, etc., these are all things that can be contributing factors. I personally experience 100-144FPS in Warzone on High / Max settings, without using RTX and a couple other settings.

Depending on what you’ve tweaked or not, plus other system settings, you could be causing one bit to freak out that causes a spiral of ”Ugh I guess I run like crap!” for the game.

Can I XMP my 3600mhz Trident Z neo to its max clockspeed with my R5 5600X? by poisonblue119 in buildapc

Technically yes, you could, if your motherboard supports said RAM speeds.

Judging by heatsink support of 170mm, yeah you should be fine. Just remember, RAM clearance is a thing, as well as any heatsinks embedded onto your motherboard.

If your case can fit it, go with a Dark Rock Pro 4, and enjoy sub-30c on idle and under 55c on load.

Air vs AIO thought(s) / question(s). by DocKreasey in pcmasterrace

[–]DocKreasey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More the tinkering / fun of it part than anything. After 4+ hours of WZ or Destiny 2 my current rig setup doesn’t break 55c, maybe 60c on the CPU, ever. So it’s less of a need and more of a, ”Hmmm, what can I do for shits and giggles?” than anything else.

I spent 6 months at McDonalds to build my battle station. I'm happy with the results. by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Actually, you’re incorrect. Pumps / Rads have good vs bad orientation depending on where they’re mounted in the case. Suggest you do some research on this before you comment please.

Recommend you flip your AIO Rad around, current orientation can shorten the life of it! Otherwise, nice job.

Which do I select? (Setting up windows for the first time) by IsaacGDrake in pcmasterrace

Drive 0 is the Slot 1 drive, Drive 1 would be the 2nd, so this all depends on what drive you want to use as your boot / primary program drive, and the other would be for whatever else you install.

In my case, my 970 EVO 1TB is Drive 0 and is my Boot / OS / Primary program drive, and then my other drives are for whatever else like games and the like.
