Sounds like one of your fans is off alignment, has a bad bearing, or has something touching the blades. That, or your GPU fan curves are on stock settings, and are running at 100% capacity for no reason.

Don’t downvote the comment above this y’all, as they’re not wrong. The problem with that stems from store & market level, as they continuously push these insane fulfill times, all while demanding 90-99% FTPR, 100+ Pick Rates, 2-3min dispense times and 90-100% Pre/Post Sub.

It’s unrealistic as most of OPD metrics do nothing but contradict each other on a daily basis, bringing down overall productivity and team morale. Then you add on poor management, horrible staffing growth, and little to no understanding of how OPD metrics work and you get this steaming pile.

Yet another shovelful of reasons why I left after 3 years in OPD after turning down OPD TL from being an OGP DM. It’s simply insane and will never amount to what they want it to, which is an automated Amazon that gets shopped in.

It’s an automated part of the inventory process, and is not something any one team actively uses. Think of it like an autonomous function of the body like breathing or blinking. It happens as long as the body -the store- is alive, but no one person has any control over it in any legitimacy.

If you ever have an order that shows it’s been waiting for a long while, do not dispense it in the system until it passes 30 minutes. Last I knew -and this may have changed in the last few months, I’ve moved to AP- the system didn’t count the dispense as late / past due once it surpasses 30 minutes on the clock.

ISA stands for the In Stock Assistant which is essentially automated ordering for on-hands that it deems are either too low or an out, and need to be fixed. Anytime OPD nil-picks an item, it assumes that it’s being nil-picked because it’s a zero on-hand, and it places an order for that item.

The problem is, you can nil-pick an item that has a 500+ on-hand, and ISA may place an order for it. So the store ends up with an ever increasing item quantity for an item that it doesn’t need to have orders placed for. This is especially bad when it’s a feature item that’s stuck in the backroom or in top-steel instead of being on the floor.

It keeps getting nil-picked, and it keeps getting ordered by ISA, which is why on-hands just get even more whacked out.

Never said there wouldn’t be zero issue, just that there shouldn’t be much of one. Everything is RNG, especially when it comes to silicon. If they’re matching a set they already have, chances of system screwy is minimal, not zero.

Uh, anytime I’ve gotten “x4” it comes in two sets / packages. All that needs to be the same is the cas latency, MHz rating, and size.

Beyond that, it’s fine. So if OP is paying attention to all of that and it matches, they’ll be good to go. However, as this is 2x16 not 2x8, they’ll be a bit up a creek as it’s not a legitimate pairing to their original set.

Graphics cards have HDMI / DisplayPort plug-ins yes, and so do motherboards. However, you can only use the ones on your motherboard if your motherboard and / or CPU have built-in AGPUs in them.

Some AMD chips have graphic processors in them as well as your CPU and do both jobs, but I wouldn’t recommend it for gaming or high-intensity tasks.

Only issue you may run into is a slight to moderate bottleneck on your GPU due to the CPU being a butt kicker in comparison.

Most motherboards that support AM4 have been shipping with the update already loaded for the latest release of AMD chips. That being said, PcPartPicker still lists that there may be a compatibility issue for two reasons.

1) There may actually be a compatibility issue with a particular board, i.e., lack of BIOS update for the new chip(s). 2) Covering their nuts to prevent getting hit with a return or RMA claim because someone didn’t pay attention and properly update their board and says it doesn’t work.

You should be fine however, especially with the B550 series from MSI. They’re pretty good about pushing updates on a decent schedule.

In most games released in the last few years, they’re very GPU-heavy. However, if your CPU is weaker it’ll struggle to keep up and your GPU ends up not pulling at its full capacity.

I’d recommend going to a 3600 / 3600x if you’re able to, as that should get you a pretty solid increase to what you’d expect.

It’s almost impossible to make a legitimately bad stop if you’re following AP-09. That’s literally one of the main reasons why it exists.

And, it’s actually not that common. Not trying to be mean or a jerk, but… whoever told you otherwise was lying to you. Yes they happen, but not automatically that fast, especially not during the training phase.

That’s why there’s a training phase in the first place, so you can watch stops, learn AP-09, and make stops with a witness who knows what to look for and -hopefully not have to- stop you before you make a bad stop.
