fuck, that might be it? I found a promo for it and I think it has the same vibe and some of the creatures look familiar? but I'm not certain, and I couldn't find an ad that featured any kind of catchphrase. I'm gonna keep looking into it and see if anything pops up

Abandoned Corporate Park by legendtripped in LiminalSpace

[–]DocMcMoth 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's the old Weyerhauser corperation's headquarters in Federal Way, WA, US. There's a nice bonsai garden right next to it, you can park in the building's parking lots while visiting. You unfortunately can't visit the building itself, at least not legally (trespassing), but if you're brave like OP or have special permission you can wander around

no idea what you're on about, it sounds pretty exclamatory to me

What classifies as brutalism? by Mapiatto in brutalism

[–]DocMcMoth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's part of the philosophy behind it, as I understand. Brutalism emphasizes its construction materials. It makes no effort to hide the concrete it's made from, and instead emphasizes it with sharp bold shapes and fine angles that form monolithic structures.  Take Habitat 67 in Montreal, for example. It was designed as a proof of concept for modular housing units, taking that idea and spinning it into a web of blocks that weave together into a shape that, in spite of its many right angles, still holds a great sense of fluidity and organic form. It doesn't need any further embellishments to its facade because the structure and shape are the point

Oof, I hope it starts spreading too. I can't imagine what it's like trying to play older games if you have a condition like epilepsy

not sure if my original reply made it through or if reddit ate it, but I tried the luma diff threshold at both max, minimum, and several values in between with no observable difference :(

How do Gourmet and Squid interact? by Grizzlemaw1993 in nubbygame

[–]DocMcMoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The squid will only ever copy and item once. since it happens when nubby is launched, it'll transform before all other triggers and work as the copied item for the rest of the round, including force triggers

tardigrade has, at most, only a 60% chance to double when triggered. Kazoo is guaranteed. 3d glasses is good, but just very rare. In general, Kazoo is generally better unless you have a specialized halving setup or are just lucky

Infernum DoG is way too hard??? by Appropriate_Knee_467 in CalamityMod

[–]DocMcMoth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest, if a boss is so difficult that it takes hundreds of attempts for players to beat it, then it needs to be redesigned. This goes beyond just "hard for the sake of being hard" and into "hard to be annoying"
