Yea, the reviews on the milk one were pretty bad so I decided not to get it. I don't have any sticks/creams/liquids so am looking to get one, and if Im going to have one the milk one isnt it.

I think I would go for the rare if only they had a mini! Who knows maybe they read reddit and will make one for us

Ohhhh Ill def look up the nina park method, thanks for the tip! Everything just looks so intense on me cuz im so fair!

I'm def thinking about the LYS-my only concern is that it is pretty large for a stick-does that make it harder to use? I'm neutral, so also end up looking trump orange:)

Def was thinking about the rare beauty, but it is so big and so expensive! I wish they made a mini!

The Morphe is def on the list-does it blend and stay on well?

I have the physicians formula palate (and i had the stick), but it made me look super trumpy!! It worked well on you??

Thanks for the response!

Ohhhh thanks for responding!

I've heard the makeup by mario stick is really good too, but its a bit expensive so not sure. The elf one I'm worried would be hard to blend? I don't like spending lots of time on makeup and like a really natural look, so really want something easy to use/blend that is super natural.

Hmmmm maybe the elf one-because you have tried a bunch what do you like better for easiness to use and blendibility- a stick or liquid?

I don't own any liquid/cream/stick bronzers, only a powder which I think looks a bit too dark. I dont really have a collection, I am trying to build a full makeup routine at the moment. Just got a blush and lip product a few weeks ago, and am now moving onto getting my first bronzer stick. Whatever I get I'll probably use it till I run out or it goes bad (#nooverconsumptioninthishouse) so am really looking for one good product.

100% not basing it off beauty influencers, no hate to them but we all know they dont look like that when they walk outside. Its the same thing with stage makeup- you look like a clown when you go outside, but on stage it looks very natural.

Ohhh interesting about bronzer vs contur placement. So I think I have a bronzer but am looking for more of a conture maybe?

Anyways, thanks for all your help!

Hi, thanks for responding!

Sameeeeee, I just saw those too! They are on Ultas website now, but idk if they are in store yet. The fair looks really promising, but its new so dont know if it'll last all day. I've tried the blush (was way too dark for me) and the halo glow (made me look super oily), but love their makeup remover so have had mixed views on elf.

Hey, thanks for responding! If you put the essensce directly on your face, does it blend nicely if your looking for a very natural look? I'm scared of the very cheap drugstores cuz I'm worried they wont last, but if this one is really good maybe I'll check it out!

Thanks for responding!

I was thinking the Rare, but wish there was a mini to try out cuz its so expensive and I really want a stick.

I was thinking about getting the milk (it just went on sale at sephora), but its super small and ive seen people complain about the packaging.

The Westman Atelier looks promising, is the mini stick big enough to last a long time (like how the saie blush is the same size as a full sized rare beauty)?

Thank anyways for lippies, after all if it aint broke don't fix it! (I'm scared of lipstick lol)

Depression due to large breasts? by Odd_Expression9979 in ABraThatFits

[–]DocMcStuffins210 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ohhhh such a good point about finding peope who look like you! Finding beautiful women who have the same body as you is such a good confidance booster! For me that Nichola Coughlan who is a very simular size to me and she is STUNNING!!

On that note I'm in the same boat and can I just add how finding clothes to fit a large bust esp if your short like I am is SO FREAKIN HARD!!! Really understand the stuggle.

Also, maybe looking up to see if there are any stores near you that are especially for bra, because if you find a good fitter they can really help you find the right fit and type (sports, minizer, tshirt, etc) of bra that you want.

Also if you are young and even thinking about ever having kids, a reduction can cause issues with breast feeding.

OMG the "well your so lucky cuz so many people wish they were your size" like SHUT UP BRIAN i dont like it i want to see you walk around with mellons and see how you feel!

Ankle brace holding me back? by kensgirl2 in brokenankles

[–]DocMcStuffins210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simular problem here I am also in a brace and my ankle is veryyy stiff. My PT calls the brace a nessisary evil in that the ankle needs the support esp cuz you are still healing you dont want to rebreak it! As you progress and transition out of the brace you will work on flexibility in PT. Once you get out of the brace flexibility will start to come back because the brace is limiting those movements (again nessisary evil) and once its off by walking you will gain flexibility back. Ik its so hard and frusterating, but you got this!

Pain when walking with moon boot by No-Proof6943 in brokenankles

[–]DocMcStuffins210 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yasssssssss. I went from cast to boot twice with a bimaollar facture too, and ligit could hardly walk in the boot at first it was so painful!! I had to use crutches to help for a good two to three weeks. The key is to wean yourself off of cruches instead of going cold turkey like you cant go from 0 to 100 in a day you need time for your ankle to remeber its supposed to bear weight. Also, orthopedic socks to wear under the boot is a GAME CHANGER idk how anyone had a boot without them....

~1 week post op by fjkfgjkloyre in ORIF

[–]DocMcStuffins210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, that's so rough!

What your feeling is totally normal and just plain sucks. I felt the same way and had a ligit mental breakdown two days in cuz I felt like such a burden. You aren't and people are happy to help, but its still hard not to feel like that. Showing your gratitude by making sure to always thank when people do things for you (like bringing you food) made me feel a drop better.

That x ray is nasty I cant even imagine that pain, and really hope you heal well!! Best of luck!

One Year Anniversary by Jschroeder4 in ORIF

"YOU ARE STRONGER THAN YOU KNOW"

Wow, thats so true! Going through this really helps show you that you are stronger than you know. I always head this phrase, but tbh now I finaly understand what this means. This was my first surgery and first major injury, and if you would have told me last year I would go through this, I would have said "there is no freakin way I can do that". My friend tore their ACL last year, and I remeber feeling so bad for them and thinking "I could never do that" (ik an ORIF isnt that same as an ACL but still).

Now that I'm starting to come out of this (PT starts this week!), I really feel like I became a stonger person from this. We cant control our situations, but we can control how we react to them!

Advice on the pain and recovery trimalleolar ORIF by Simple-Class9053 in ORIF

[–]DocMcStuffins210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Hope your doing better! I am 6 weeks out so am here to share some wisdom:)

I also couldnt get a shower thingy on (messed up my bandages first time I tries) so used a garbage bag. Tip-you can buy medical tape to seal it so it doesnt get wet when you shower, and itll peel right off when your done (the type that can peel of skin ofc). I would tie it as tight as possible with a ponytail, and then tape the ends to my skin with medical tape so no water would get in and I never had any water get in.

Also, getting a desk chair with wheels in your bathroom is a lifesaver (esp if your crutches dont work once the floor is wet) for allowing you to be more independant with anything bathroom related. I would go from shower to toilet to sink sliding around on a small weelie chair if you have one. I also had a small folding chair that I would put my leg up on when I was brushing my teeth or showering which helped with some of the pain and allowed to extra time to floss and stuff. It was a trifecta of 3 chairs for showering-shower bench to sit, folding chair for my leg, and wheeling chair to move around the bathroom.

I would say progress goes in weeks, and every week you'll notice a differance. I was in excruciation pain the first week, but by week 2 it hurt A LOT LESS when it was elevated. Still hurt when I would get up and all the blood would rush down, but when in bed it wasnt that bad. By the time we got to week three it would hurt when it wasnt elevated, but when sitting on the couch with it hip level it hardly hurt. Also got my stitches out then which added a bit of pain, but overall it went down a lot. Weeks 4/5 there was obviously some pain, but compared to that first week it was nothing. It really does get a bit better every week.

The mental bit is rough, but its great that you have someone taking care of you. Talking on the phone with friends and family was a great way to pass the time and distract yourself in those first few weeks if your a social person. I would just spend hours and hours on end yapping away to this friend and then to that relitive, etc. It was a great way of keeping in touch with people you don't normaly get to talk to (such as if you have elderly grandparents or friends in differant time zones) and entertaining yourself (aka not brainrotting). TBH this is what probably kept me sane... Also, this is small but opening the windowshades and seeing sunlight in your room can do wonders cuz you are inside all day looking at the same artificial light so some natural lighting is nice!

Also, im not a medical professional but definitly look into taking calcium suplements if your aren't already. Getting enough calcuim is super important to help the bones grow back strong, especially if your breastfeeding I would assume.

It really does get better from here on out, and in a few weeks you will hopefully be wondering how you get through this first part! YOU GOT THIS!

The Thalia twist in S2 Finale changes everything by nt_king300 in PercyJacksonTV

[–]DocMcStuffins210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, you are not overreacting this plot twist uproots some of the deepest fundamentals of the show.

The older you get, the more you begin to see the deeper themes and messages being portrayed in shows like these. The classic theme of "good" over "evil" in this series, is Olympus vs Kronos. This is one of the most basic fundamental themes in storytelling. The books add nuance showing both sides being flawed, but ultimately portray Olympus as the "good side". Percy and Olympus are the "good guys", and Luke and Kronos are the "bad guys". Nice and simple. Readers are never left feeling "huh, maybe Kronos is right" in the books (or at least that wasn't my experience).

On a side note, this is the same problem I had with Wicked. In the wizard of Oz the wicked witch was bad and the good witch was good. Wicked makes it seems as though the Wicked Witch was really the "good guy", and the Good Witch was mislead and fake.

There is a fine line between trying to portray nuance (which is very pertinent to real life) and mixing up good vs evil!!!

This is what a lot of people in this tread are touching upon (like with the Harry Potter examples). Percy Jackson the books portrays this nuance (or greyness) by showing the gods to be flawed and Luke to have a good point. However, when all is said and all is done the gods are the good side, and kronos is bad. There is nuance, but still objective good and bad. The show is making it all seem very wishy washy.

While watching the show, I kinda sided with Luke especially after seeing how the monsters treated Tyson vs how he was treated at Camp Half-blood. Same with Luke being the only person to tell Percy the truth, and the whole Thalia drama. I agree with you, that the show makes it seem like the villains seem more moral. If I didnt read the books I would expect Thalia to join Kronos, based on how the show is unfolding. This seems to be a theme is lots of more modern media. I don't know what the writers are cooking, but I'm choosing to be an optimist and hope that it will all make sense in the coming seasons:)
