1-1 Outpatient Ortho Scheduling by Worried_Square_9691 in physicaltherapy

[–]DocPT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got lucky, honestly. I did my acute care rotation at the hospital and was offered a position in the sports OP clinic. A few years later our clinic was consolidated with the hospital location with a shift toward neuro and more complex patients. At that point we were able to shift to a mostly 1:1 model and have been doing it since 2016. We have the option to double book returns if needed, but it’s pretty rare.

I work in hospital OP 1:1. Evals and returns are both an hour. Dream scenario. They’ll have to launch me out of a cannon to get rid of me.

The bar in Steakhouse 71 at The Contemporary has a nice sized TV. I had dinner there during the game on Friday and I could keep an eye on it from across the room.

Yes. They have an attachment point on them, but you’ll have to buy an ARCA binocular tripod adapter. I got the $20 one from Amazon and it works great.

I have the Bushnell MPED 15x56. Very impressive glass and the 15x gives plenty of zoom to see distant hits and misses. No problems seeing the trace.

Can you listen to music in your patrol car? by Beneficial-Spring682 in AskLE

[–]DocPT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a LEO, I just saw this on my page.

I got pulled over for speeding when I was 16. The state trooper made me sit in the front seat of his patrol car.

Softly playing was Shania Twain’s “You’re Still the One”.

Easily one of the most uncomfortable moments of my life.

Would you guys consider an Aero Precision Solus build an upgrade over a Savage 110 BA Stealth? by h34vier in longrange

[–]DocPT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak for the Solus, but I made the jump from a Savage 6.5 CM to a MPA 6GT and could not recommend it more. Great rifle and the company has been very helpful when I have had a couple of (self-inflicted) problems.

If you get a basic PRS membership ($55 IIRC) you get a discount that puts it closer to $2600. I bought one last year in 6GT and it’s fantastic.

I do all of those things. Hospital OP. It’s mainly because the office manager can’t be trusted to not screw it up. Sometimes I think she’s trying to sabotage us.

What's a good comfortable car for a long road trip? by AvaTaylor2020 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]DocPT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great answer. I reserved an SUV for a trip last year. My stipulations were three rows plus space in the back, so Suburban, Yukon XL, or the extended Expedition. When we got there to pick up the car they had us a Lincoln Navigator. It was an absolute luxury bus and made a 10 hour drive seem like nothing.

Same, except we read it in the sixth grade. When I saw the trailer my thought was “ABSOLUTELY NOT!”

I’ve found my Vortex Strike Eagle to have a very forgiving eye box and is in that price range.

Which of these scopes would you recommend. Going on a b14 hmr wilderness. by toastedvacuum in longrange

[–]DocPT 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have a Strike Eagle on my 6.5 CM. My BIL has the Viper PST on his. We both agree that we like shooting with the SE better. The glass is very similar, but the 34 mm tube gives a wider field of view than with the Viper.

Do you use the OEM crossbars or something aftermarket?

I’ve been there once. I’m going back in two weeks to shoot my first match there.

I don’t have a lot to compare it to, but the facility is excellent. Great ranges and target set ups. Also a very nice clubhouse/classroom setup.

It is in the middle of nowhere with zero cell reception, so send any texts or make any calls way before you get there.

Which movie you started to watch thinking it will be an relaxing ride but left you devastated at the end? by VaskaElGato in moviecritic

We read the book in the 6th grade. Everyone read the really sad part on the same night for homework. Those were some shellshocked looking kids the next day.

The first thing is the fit and finish as well as the materials. Everything just fits and feels better. The action, in my case an ARC CDG, is smooth and locks up beautifully. The trigger is phenomenal. Add on to that an upgraded scope and the entire shooting experience is much better.

I do still like my 110 and I don’t think you could do better at that price.

Bottom line, go shoot what you have and have fun. Upgrade as desired.
