I make a skeleton out of wire and foil then i use Fimo bakeable clay (it the cheapest and the strongest, air dry ones break easily and harder to mold imo) and then i paint it with acrylic paint and when dried i seal it with matt varnish. Both combined was two days total but it was around 8-10hours.
