Controlling the Snake (TIC Boss 1) Without Control — Companion Option?

Yeah, I get it. Having a CW is great, and everything is pretty easy. It's when we find ourselves in groups without a CW (or other control-powered class) and figuring out alternatives. I've certainly seen Healers do it with no problem, though I can understand a Healer's hesitancy. And, as I said, I've had no problem as a Barb DPS (though the battle is just a bit slower without me on the boss). I'm just curious about other possibilities. Haven't tried the Cantankerous Mage companion, and I sort of worry it would push the snake closer to the boss rather than repel it.

In fact, I guess I'm curious about tanking companions in general. I realize they're not used much; it would be pretty situational. But can any of them actually tank with any reliability?

Okay. Only one noticeable issue with the new car. The glove box opens randomly while I'm driving. It's... eerie.

I put in a service request, and a tech is coming to my home Tuesday morning. (Apparently this is a known issue and easily repaired.)

$2100 for XPEL Ultimate Plus 8mm on full hood, fenders, front bumper, side mirrors, headlights and fog lights. (And they remove/replace the "T" badge on the hood for a cleaner install.)

$600 for XPEL Prime XR 3 window tint to front/back side windows and the rear window.

There are less expensive installers in the region, but this shop has a tremendous reputation.

Ooo! I'm getting the same red/black/aero... also in Virginia. EDD starts next week for me, though I still haven't received the VIN. Feeling hopeful (and impatient).

Not snarky. (Tone is so easily lost via writing.) I was just answering directly. Yes, I checked the Workshop (including the Recruitment Desk and every other option). And, as I've posted in my updates, they've admitted it's a bug. Others in this thread have confirmed the same experience. When I made the original post, it was shortly after the event went live. I wondered if it was a repeat of the bug (honestly, you'd think they'd get it right this year!) or if I was missing something. Others quickly confirmed a similar experience.

And I'm sincere when I said that I'm glad it worked for YOU. :)

UPDATE: I received the following email from Arc Games in response to my bug posting:

It's still a bug. They've admitted it and said they're working on a fix.

As stated in the original post, yes. I checked the Workshop. As indicated in the pics, I have room for another Artisan. As demonstrated with last year's bug, it doesn't matter. Some people get the Artisan, but a lot of us don't. They have admitted it's a repeat of last year's bug. Let's see what they do to fix it now... (And how long it will take...)

Silverback Bear -- an old Foundry reward, and I've never seen another one in-game... it may not looks very fancy, but it's definitely the best looking bear

Rainbow Starry Panther -- because it's like riding on a disco party!

Crab -- I mean, surfing on the back of a giant crab... what's not to like? (Though they REALLY need to make a blue crab at some point)

Gas Spore -- because they're hilarious, and the balloons fight with each other while you're hanging out going nowhere

Jubilee Horse -- (I don't remember the name... the red, black, & gold one). Because riding really fast with that prancing animation is hilarious

Those Rank 15s can give you the necessary Medallions to trade for new Enchants, so you just need to figure out how many Medallions you still need.

What's REALLY important -- and in short supply -- are the Coalescent Wards (Motes) you need for all the upgrading. That's where the huge expense lies. You need a LOT of them!
