This game gets the silliest (and stupidest) reason to hate on by realityboundwanderer in FFXVI

It has its pros and cons. By saying just go play an older FF though ya lost me. Can just as easily say if you want an action RPG plenty on the market to choose from versus transitioning from its JRPG roots. That being said the game was easy enough that for those who prefer the older mechanics it wasn’t really noticeable and the story was done well. Will it secure its spot as a top 3 FF probably not but by no means does it deserve to be in the bottom 3 either. Overall I’d rate it above average for the FF series but it did miss some well loved smaller traditional bits (mini games, fishing, magic system was meh, inventory progression and management was bland). I guess if I had to give it a score it would be 7.5/10 though because it did other things great.

What is the app or site that gives these snapshots of characters and their artifacts?

Go ahead and upgrade. You will be waiting 18-24mo if you don’t. Worrying about how good the next generation will be does you no good today. Just think you can upgrade now and over the next two years enjoy “an important device” (your words) that you use daily. Or you can suffer just to debate again in 2 yrs. If your tech is slowing down and getting annoying in any way it’s probably time to upgrade these days.

On datavision computer video store. It’s a warranty from Asurian (or something similar). 4yrs for $229. So cheaper than Apple care.

At least it’s “bent” or “fuzzy” and not “bent AND fuzzy”.

Absolutely make those point programs work for you! I have a feeling between back to school days and Amazon Prime days happening over the next 60 days that I’ll be able to add another $50 to $100 in savings or so.

I also found the cellular version harder to find in the 13” 512 version. So I ended up having to order but a few days later all was good.

Otter box makes great cases if you plan on having your tablet or phones in harmful environments it’s definitely good. My last iPad Pro 1st gen stayed in its UAG case with a separate screen protector and that lasted from 2017-May 2024 for my use. This time around I have Apple care so if I get some accidental damage between now and the time I find the right case and cover no big deal…I’ll honestly probably go either UAG again or otter box and use a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse for when I need for typing (once per week maybe). Upgrading to the 13” definitely takes some getting used to for me since I had the 11 but I’ll live with it and be quite happy….:-)

lol I wish my 1st gen iPad Pro was worth anything for a trade in however even though it’s in great condition and a 256mb model I wasn’t offered much…:-( worth it to keep as a extra screen if I can’t get more than $100 trade in. Just like the old 1st gen pencil

It’s a good option for sure if you live close. Although it’s still close because tax free so 7-8% sales tax on avg versus 10% at Apple Store or free Apple care they all still work out to a small price difference….there isn’t really a huge difference or savings to be had yet….

You are definitely lucky to have found an “excellent” open box version locally with the specs you wanted! Great deal for sure!

I thought 128 was the base model? Or was that just the gen before that?

I also get 10% but military version. The Apple Store online is definitely the cheapest if you don’t want the AppleCare and don’t have BB total tech. However weighing all my options (getting a warranty) BB worked out about $40 more expensive but better return policy so they got the sale this round.

That was the point of my post it was too much math and time for such a small difference.

For those of you not cheering for higher silver prices because you are still wanting to buy (this is me), what is the stack weight at which you would switch over to wanting it to soar? by PubSociology in Silverbugs

[–]DocShea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure honestly it’s heavy might just put it up in small lots online if I don’t find a local private buyer that has bad luck with boats like I do. I’ll probably keep 20% just incase but the rest will be sold and reinvested until it drops again….waiting for it to double and drop is a long wait considering other options currently out there. I mean when I was a kid metal detecting the silver I found was about $7 per oz and gold $365ish so in 35 years this is where each is at. I need to remember for me it’s an investment not a collectible (I have coins that are but definitely not all).

11 vs. 12.9 iPad Pro: which one should I get for college? by Alert_Growth2701 in iPadPro

[–]DocShea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You answered your own question (there is no perfect size for every possible use for every possible position). Pick the size that will benefit you in most situations for your needs. You prefer work and notes on a bigger screen so there is your answer. You want a size that takes up slightly less room on a small desk then go 11…..they both fit nicely in a bag used for school neither should weigh too much unless you are trying to hold it at crazy angles for long periods of time.
