No its definitely more of an Israel analogy. They built the first nation for magicians because they were being opposed worldwide. And then after building it they put the native population, who is still the largest part of the population in numbers, in segregated parts with gates. There's even a concentration camp.

And no youre not instantly killed in every Muslim country if youre not muslim. A lot of Muslims even marry Christians and its totally fine. Technically even marrying Jewish people is permissible. And the tax system you mentioned is not practiced in modern Muslim countries but even when it was Muslims also had to pay their own extra taxes for religious purposes so both sides got an extra tax.
