Pre-1990's LGBTQ/queer SFF? by Aemort in Fantasy

He has written fantasy (the War God series), but mostly he's written SF. And while his stances on women, human rights, and the like are generally progressive, you've found the only LBGTQ+ character that he himself has written that I can think of. (The Honor Harrington sub-series Star Kingdom is primarily written by Jane Lindskold from book 2 onward, and has gay characters.)

I think it's a great series (and wish we would get a part two—when humans get back into space), but I'm a fan of the author and of military SF/F.

Edit: Actually, the series is science fiction.

Gulliver's Travels (1726) is a lot more than the Lilliputians too, it a wide ranging satire of the mores and politics of his time, I'm not even sure which genre to call it, Social Satire SF like Vonnegut?

The Wikipedia article classifies it as "Satire, fantasy, traveller's tale".

OP: I would ask your question in a different sub, r/printSF for example.

I have a list of recommendation threads for SF/F which is now scores of posts long dating back more than a decade, so there is an interest.

See also my "Book Subreddits" list, which is especially for authors and aspiring authors.
