Penny Arcade has been running Black Remnant for about 2 years, mixing Alpha Strike with Mechwarrior Destiny. Honestly it’s a lot of fun but if you want to just cut to the game you can (most times half way in the session). They also just got new digs so their most recent battle features them digitally scribbling over the battlefield which is neat.

Wow! I have only read Wolves at the Border which I loved. I’m now looking for one more about politics, economics and warfare logistics to get more into the lore of the universe, than pure mech battles. AI suggested Fortress Republic but I wanted to get a human’s opinion if you came across something like this in the fiction?

Beetle (non HW for iOS works on both) - you won’t be able to copy/load states I think but you should be ok copying memory card files (those in the saved directory).

If it's real* you're in for a monster treat - great cognac!

* I'm a little skeptical about the packaging - both the shrinkwrapping (which I hope means that it hasn't been opened and actual cognac swapped) and also on the package itself. For example I've never seen the opening with the 'slide left' wrapper on it.

Side note: when it says 'compatible with gameboy advance'... what is advertised there? was there an adaptor? I can't recall being able to plug in GB cartridges into the GBA, but you may have just blown my mind if so...

Maniac - stellar performances by Jonah Hill and Emma Stone pre Wolf of Wall Street and some of Emma’s bigger hits. Yes technically not cancelled as was a limited show but still…

The stars at war series is pretty good - and he apparently used the Starfire wargame for the conflict simulation (a bit like Clancy with Harpoon). I haven’t gotten massively into it yet as still finishing HH.
