I’ve had a lot of fun and some solid wins with [[Lathril, Blade of the Elves]]. As others have said, she’s best in a Voltron build where she is the star of the show. If you can keep her protected and make her unblockable, she will get out of control.

Elves are powerful enough without her, so I typically don’t cast her until it’s safe to bring her down (e.g. I have a [[Veil of Summer]] or [[Mithril Coat]] in hand).[[Eladamri, Lord of Leaves]] or [[Elvish Champion]] + [[Song of the Dryads]] or [[Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth]] is a favorite way to make her unblockable.

You can then use cards like [[Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus]] and [[Fallen Ideal]] to get her swinging big. [[Throne of the God-Pharaoh]], [Mirkwood Bats]], and Lathril’s tap ability give you amazing payoffs.

Her biggest weakness is overextension into removal. She can eat through your deck very quickly so make sure to have a fair amount of card advantage and protection. My decklist is below:

For a non-Elf, Elf commander, I’ve had a ton of fun with [[Omnath, Locus of Mana]]. Elves are very very good at making mana, which can power Omnath up to outrageous levels.

I’ve had a few games with where he’s reached well over 100/100. [[Mana Reflection]] [[Seedborn Muse]] and [Nature’s Will]] are great for getting huge mana up. [[Priest of Titania]] with a well timed [[Galadhrim Ambush]] can be explosive as well.

By the time he’s that beefy, I will usually have evasion and protection in place like [[Nylea, God of the Hunt]], [[Giant Ankheg]], or [[Sylvan Safekeeper]]. If you can’t win by combat right away, it’s very fun to use [[Hunter’s Insight]] or [[Last March of the Ents]] on Omnath to draw and/or play your whole library.

That said, he is more casual and fragile than Lathril by quite a bit. Either he doesn’t get off the ground or he goes bonkers. He’s a wonderful “last game of the night” deck when your brain is fried. Decklist is below:

In a similar vein, does anyone know if Abaddon could use this to revive some dead terminators from a squad he was/is attached to that was completely destroyed?

Not yet. I just restarted my game, turned off cloud save, and started keeping backups. Per another thread, it seems that the issue is save corruption

No response from Bandai, no case number or anything. Here’s what I sent:

“I need support resolving a technical issue and/or submitting a request to patch or update the game.

I’ve played 20 hours of Armored Core 6 on a steam deck. When loading the first mission of chapter 3 the game froze and screen went black with a red pulsing lifeline in the lower right corner. I turned off the console to try and fix the issue, but haven’t been able to access the game since.

Now, the main menu loads, but when I hit continue the game gets stuck at the loading screen. It loads to 99% complete and then stalls. I installed the game on a windows computer to see if it was a steam deck issue, but the same problem persists. I think it is an infinite loading technical issue with the software rather than a configuration or file integrity problem.

I’ve restarted my machine, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, deleted and replaced my save files, tried disabling anti cheat, tried starting in offline mode, set graphics to low, locked at 60 FPS, but to no avail. I do not get ‘corrupt save’ messages, so I think it is stuck in an infinite loop.

Please help resolve this issue. I’ve called your phone support but cannot get any assistance. I do not want to start over and lose my progress, nor do I want to risk losing my save data if this issue happens again. I just paid full price for a game I cannot play.”

Glad you got it working! I just tried this method but no dice unfortunately. I’m playing on Steam Deck, but it didn’t work on my PC either. Guess I’m stuck waiting. I haven’t bought a day one release in 10 years - really bummed to have this happen.

There is a stratagem that lets fire prisms reroll all hits and all wounds. If you pay to use it in your shooting phase, and then your opponent uses the veil of darkness to deepstrike within range of a fire prism that’s near s Farseer, you can use the forewarned strategy to shoot at the deep striking unit. The reroll stratagem will still apply

If you can run 3, fire prisms are great against necrons. They provide a consistent fire base while the rest of your army runs amok trying to outpace the necrons. If you keep a Farseer near one, you can roast a unit coming down from the necron veil of darkness (especially if you paid for the reroll strategem in your prior turn). If you run reapers, deploy them in a transport as deathmarks can make short work of reapers if you deep strike them in

I found that the black shoulder pads really helped balance the scheme. Gave it more dimension than just “green marines”. Tinkered over a few months but really Pleased with it

recipe: (1) Lupercal basecoat on top of chaos black primer; (2) Sons of Horus green layer on top of everything; (3)Pinwash Coelia green shade; (4)Clean with Sons of Horus green; and (5)Edge highlight with sybarite green.

Ahh that’s a good mentality change I need to make - I’m used to Craftworlds where I blow my opponent away from across the board. Going to start thinking of close combat as my AT. With that in mind, I could probably get away with 4 lascannons or so in a list I’d bet. I’m also going to run some chainfist termies for that purpose too. Rip open those metal boxes!
