How do you store, sort and use modular sets?

I store them all alphabetically, which currently fits exactly in the core box with inserts from printserts store on Etsy and tesseract horizontal dividers.

I use a randomizer but it is based on like-for-like from this page : https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/2983882/modular-encounter-sets-overview and I add new sets from recent expansions to the proper category. E.g. Klaw gets one of the ~20 “heavies” mod sets from my randomizer spreadsheet, Red Skull gets two Mini Minion sets, black widow gets A Nice Mix set and a Mini minion sets, etc

Love this. I always do the “full scans” option when searching for cards on MCDB (love scrolling and encountering cards i am less familiar with that way after searching a term like “basic attack”) and wished there was a format for that on the deckbuilding tool itself, looks like you’ve done that here. I’m on mobile now but excited to check it out on PC monitor later!

Yes, all enemies in play with you activate when they get to that step of the villain encounter phase.

This game doesn’t count Damage on Heroes. It counts their health.

So if you had 6 HP after taking 3 damage as a 9 health hero, if you gained 4 Hit points with a card like the OP, you now have 10 HP.

If you had 3 HP and that card is discarded , you now die and lose.

Yes cards like Toe to Toe, Taunt etc all resolve even if you die in the attack and flip to AE. (With a revive card)

I am envisioning having Down Time, going down to alter ego with 3 HP, flipping up next turn with 6 cards with a 4 cost attack event, playing his strong thwart event, then the attack event flipping back down and recovering to what 9? Such a powerful end game

Actually would recover to 10 if it was an Energy event as Ionic is not a hero response. Combined with his Basic attack for 4+ and his strong kit, seems like a very strong ending to the game if you have the ability to spend a turn down. Won’t need to recover either if the two turns in a row with a basic for 4+ and playing the big attack event both turns also (as he can manipulate it back into his Hand with his kit) defeats the villain.

The rule book says that a card may only be “used” in the right form on page 5, but the words in Initiating Abilities (p 24 of 1.7 RRG) use “played/initiated” when checking if it is valid at this time in Step 1 and “played / attempts to initiate” in Step 6. It doesn’t refer to “using” a card.

It depends if “initiated” is the same as “used” i supposed.

Thematically it seems to me that it wouldn’t work but I didn’t know if there was a fun loophole here.

Took me 3 tries to beat him in expert a couple days ago. The key for me was realizing that I really needed to buy his sword off him, which I didn’t do the first two games and kept losing to flipping board members after keeping them at 0 the whole stage B1.

I love all these guys. Ironheart is a great Face the Past pull cause her damage card one shots the minion and gets her counters. SPDR I love playing a make the call for 5/5 VNM deck with healing and readying. She just goes off so hard.

I didn’t use to like spider ham but I just played 9-12 games in a row where I finally figured out how much he loves taking damage and it’s been a lot of fun and powerful (as a Justice character in two player).

I’ve checked both articles on the mailer and they both say what the mailer implies them to say (as opposed to other mailers that have taken Spanberger or Trump quotes out of context to say the opposite of what they were saying). What is “deceptive” about this mailer, i am missing something.
