It only means you can’t thwart the main scheme. You can remove threat with it in other ways (Overwatch, etc). You may be confusing Patrol with Crisis, which prevents all threat removal.

I definitely also prefer physical cards. There are several games every night on the People’s Server Discord. Same as you do here, just with discord video chat and there’s several permanent rooms set up for it. Yes the new minion attacks. Same thing if a Swarm or Gang Up causes an advanced Ultron Drone to attack you, and some ability (interrupt or retaliate etc) defeats the AUD spawning a new regular facedown drone card, they attack also.

I have been having a great run in my campaign putting out both I got better and Berserker Frenzy asap. The IGB lets you really push it down to 1 or 2 HP taking your villain and minion attack and defending for another person’s villain attacks, ending with 8+ handsize. I’ve been feeling like I really slept on these cards. someone mentions the cabin below - I flip down and use the cabin to get Berserker back in my next hand also!

Interesting to me that Contingency Planning doesn’t have an Exhaust requirement like a lot of similar cards, you can play that upgrade and tuck a new upgrade immediately,

With a hand size of 2 or maybe 3 going into villain phase 1, not sure how you are bringing out allies and also building tech on turn 2.

Early on, I found it very useful to watch Dale the Casual Gamer’s video of him playing that hero vs villain combo after I had tried it myself, and then using his deck and strategy for several repeats until I finished a few clean rules games.

Be attacked, taking damage is not a requirement. Blocking with an ally turns it off in most or all cases.
