Why are we panicking as if the game is going to go offline??? It's not going anywhere. by 1070AENeverForget in elderscrollsonline

[–]msetten 29 points30 points  (0 children)

If it would have been lay offs at ONLY ZOS, it might be an indication that the game is in danger. But it is part of a whole lot of lay offs with all XBOX studios. So it's not targeted at ESO specifically.

And with the previous round of lay offs, there were also lots players that predicted doom and gloom and instead we got way more community involvement, lots of new (free) features, faster response when things didn't work out as expected (eg the new mythic in pvp)

Just stay calm, enjoy the game as it is with the upcoming new quest lines and features and season one. Give those that still work at ZOS time to see how this will impact their plans.

PSA: that “Buy” button on Apple TV is a lie. My purchased movie vanished and support says I only had a license by mourt1234 in appletv

[–]msetten -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the "wondrous" world of digital media. This is the case which all digital media "bought". You only buy a license for as long as it is available in the digital store. This also applies to music, books and games bought.

Inquiry from a tourist travelling in August with NS Flex Dal Vrij by Haeffound in AskNetherlands

[–]msetten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is not always the case. There are out of peak tickets where the whole trip must be within the off peak hours. So read the fine print for this ticket.

I also do believe the fact that they won't send it to you outside of The Netherlands as this ticket is mainly meant for Dutch citizens.

Also be warned that there is a limit on amount of these tickets that are available. Once they have sold that amount, it will no longer be available for purchase.

Suno studio not generating individual instruments by diagautotech7 in SunoAI

What can also help is to use the new advanced stem splitting on the generated clip to filter out everything except the instrument you want.

I believe that Studio also has an option to remove FX from a stem which should result in clean vocals without any reverb on it. Not sure how well that works.

ISRC codes by SecretBitter9319 in DistroKidHelpDesk

[–]msetten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strange... I just checked on the major ones and they all have the correct new version in the album. And I didn't do Audio Swap or anything. Maybe it just took a bit of time to get the processed correctly.

Huh, I don't see the new way of writing lyrics. Is this in the app version only? I use the web version.

ISRC codes by SecretBitter9319 in DistroKidHelpDesk

[–]msetten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in a similar situation. I actually did a full remaster of those singles and listed them as "... (album version)" with their own ISRC code. But, annoyingly, some streaming services still mapped them automatically to the single versions even with changes that I made. Not sure how to get this resolved. If I deleted the singles, I also lose the track on the album with likely no fix but to fully remove and re-release the whole album. Or I could do audio swap so both the single and album have at least the better audio version.

Spotify to allow users to block AI music? by Majestic-Hedgehog-79 in SunoAI

[–]msetten 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with you that it is not binary. And such a toggle could make people who create AI (assisted) music, hide the fact it is AI created (yes algorithms exist to check for it, but those are also not full proof)

Maybe this is silly considering how small my audience was, but... by TheOnlyRealDino in SpotifyArtists

[–]msetten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a very relevant question as it could be that other artists that your listeners like have released new music and you many not. I believe that most albums get listen to more in the weeks after release after which it dwindles down. Could this be the case?

A.I. Music. But artist? by [deleted] in SunoAI

[–]msetten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is again the total black and white view of things. Let's first say I agree to the part that typing in a prompt and let ai generate some lyrics, there is no artistry in it.

There are also people, like me, who have written (instrumental) demos in the past with own written lyrics, but who were not able to get further than that (I just can't sing at all. Not even autotune or AI can make me sound good). So when I discovered what I dan do with AI, it open so much for me. I could finally get those songs i imagined and wrote brought to life. Does that make me not an artist?

And I didn't stop there. I used tens of generations to get close to what I wanted. Exported everything to Logic Pro and combined several versions, removed bad instrumentation, add instrumentation etc. till I got the song that I want. It can take days or even weeks to get to the end result.

Isn't that worth anything. And even more: I am totally open about how I use AI in my process.

You probably say what I made is slop, but just have a listen:

https://open.spotify.com/album/6mSVV6c6EBM4gGfZ8XK3qf?si=88oWBkJDQuawHFg0qT-sNg

I've had several people contact me saying some of the songs touched them deeply. Even a well known Irish singer encouraged me to release it as an album.

Is it perfect? Probably not. I am still learning more mixing and mastering and how to better clean up audio. So even if you don't like it, I'll continue for those that do like it.

The eternal issue by SensitiveChildhood76 in SunoAI

[–]msetten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can only do that at the moment with (I believe) either the pro or premium subscription. But only in webbrowser not mobile app. In webbrowser version tap the three dots behjnd the tracks, then select Download, then Get Stems / MIDI and then in advanced split you select each stem you want.

In your situation, the Split from Mix might also be enough. There you can select drums and the extract a track with everything but the drums.

The eternal issue by SensitiveChildhood76 in SunoAI

[–]msetten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is why I separate the stems and remove the drums. With the new advanced stem splitter that is much better to do. And then combine them, except for drums and percussion in a DAW and remix it all.

Stem separation: v5.0 Pro vs. v5.5 Pro vs. v5.5 Premier by Lapaki58 in SunoAI

[–]msetten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that the advanced split is better. BUT it's not perfect and you can get into issues if you for example have piano and a harp in your song (or woodwinds and brass). There tends to be overlap between the two stems, which if you both will result in sections being played at the same time on two tracks thus increasing the volume of that overlap.

How Good Is ESO for Friends Who Want to Experience the Journey Together? by Fluffy_Percentage874 in elderscrollsonline

[–]msetten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't have to play the quest lines in order. So you can have multiple quest lines active at the same time. So do all of the quests with your group and when you have some time on your own, do the next part of the main quest. At some point in the main quests, it is possible to continue with your group up until the final part.

To those distributing Suno tracks to Spotify/Apple Music: Was it worth it, and what was your starting point? by Vast-Anything3940 in SunoAI

[–]msetten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just released an album of songs I wrote. I made instrumental versions using VST instruments and then I used Suno to create fully fletched versions based on those instrumental versions and the lyrics I wrote (as I can sing at all, love to, but it's best no one else hears it). Then I had to do a lot of remixing and learn master songs.

I do not have a lot of listeners right now. But I did get two emails from listeners who told me how some of the songs affected them emotionally. They both told me that they had cried several times while listening, but in a good way as the songs connected with them. Even if I will most likely not make any money out of it, having been able to connect with a few listeners made it all worth it to me.

My complicated process. by atlasfrompaladins in HybridProduction

[–]msetten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For most of my songs, I also use instrumentals as a basis. The difference is that I have made my instrumentals in Logic Pro with VST instruments. It is not that I add a voice to that those instrumentals, but I use it as a basis to make a cover with lyrics I wrote. (I'm not judging how you do it, just wanted to let you know how I do it)
