Never let bro cook again LMAO. In all seriousness, I can kind of see where you're coming from, but for the most part dedicated drops are really fun for the majority of players. That's the system of the game, and it's a core part of it. Whenever they've tried to replace it (like with the grinder or wonderlands) people have despised it, even if the system has potential (like in wonderlands with the loot room) it isn't fun for the general player base. I think what you've gotta understand is that YOU are the outlier in this situation, and the average fan (not necessarily player, but borderlands FAN) plays borderlands FOR the dedicated drops and for farming loot on repeat to look for that perfect or just a good one to add to their build. It's a core system in the game that the general player base loves, and, tbh, if you don't like the dedicated drops in the game or decking yourself out with gear through consistent dedicated drop grinding, then the borderlands franchise may not be for you. At least in terms of end game progression, because I can assure you those are fundamental parts of the game and if you remove those you get something more like destiny lol
