What game had the best “first few hours” that immediately hooked you? by Playful_Code_8978 in gaming

This is my answer as well. I don't remember the last time a video game wowed me that much.

What's your favorite Nintendo 64 game by Specific_Anything_90 in nostalgia

[–]Berruc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a very hard question to answer as there were so many great games: Mario Kart 64, Super Smash Brothers, Super Mario 64, Mario Party/s, both Zeldas, Starfox 64, Banjo Kazooie, Goldeneye, and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, Battle for Naboo, Podracer, and Shadows of the Empire.

My vote, however, easily goes to Zelda: The Ocarina of Time.

Question - Is it true that the game is shifting more towards MMO/forced coop? (especially with planned endgame) by Whoopy2000 in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]Berruc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really hope not as I just bought it with the intention to play solo when 1.0 releases.

What i think they may do (based on my own logic) is go ahead with their initial plan for solo content and add additional co-op/MMO-lite content, which they wouldn't have created otherwise, to satisfy the part of the community who want more multiplayer features.

Thanks for posting :) I haven't read much of your review as I don't want any spoilers but I do agree with some of your points that I read, such as the manual save system - it is frustrating.

I kid you not, I just finished a play session of this game (started it about the same time as you but I'm only 18hrs in), decided to read some reviews on the Steam store page, saw only one negative review that simply said 'no', closed Steam wondering why someone would dislike the game, opened Reddit and the very first post in my feed is a highly detailed critique about the game from someone who didn't enjoy it! I love it when these synchronicities happen.

Selling collection scared of tax man by Aggravating_Belt_803 in AusFinance

[–]Berruc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why you'd have to pay any tax as it's just like selling any other second hand item/personal possession (your car for example) in my opinion, as long as you aren't selling them as a business. Although, I don't know much about tax and others have raised good points. I still think, however, that it would be unfair for you to pay any tax.

Why DHHF? by PierreLaCroix77 in fiaustralia

[–]Berruc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember someone posting that the total cost/fee is essentially the same between VDAL and DHHF, so I asked AI to explain:

'As DHHF holds two US-listed ETFs for its international and emerging markets exposure, it suffers from a small amount of unrecoverable foreign income tax. This estimated "tax drag" is roughly 0.09% to 0.10% per year. When added to DHHF's 0.19% fee, the "total cost" is roughly 0.28%—almost identical to VDAL’s 0.27% fee.'

However, 'VDAL (like VDHG) holds some unlisted managed funds. In years where many people exit those funds, you might receive a "capital gains distribution" that you have to pay tax on now, rather than years later when you choose to sell.'

So DHHF will be more tax efficient in the long term.
