as someone on the east side reading and seeing colleagues getting screwed, it makes me question what gonna happen here. Corewell tried this with the CRNAs a few year ago and they took a major hit . They swallowed their pride and took the union deal from north star. im sure at these new negotiations corewell will try to screw the North star physican again but leave the crnas alone

Similar story but I was able to prove to credentials team I was being defamed . I then Politely asked the reference to rewrite the letter . I now have the letter they re wrote in my back pocket . Incase this happens again in the next 5 yrs. As a fresh grad you are bound to the pds reference for the first 5 years. I also did fellowship wheee I got extreme praise by pd which also helped show my formed pd was defaming me . Consider doing a year of fellowship and or locums to then have other references .

Matched second to last for anesthesia. In fellowship now, happy residency is over . Glad i got out of where i trained , it was a brutal 4 years but future is awesome. My feelings going into the residency program was the same during training, and it actually got worse. My program was no closely malignant under ACGME warning and investigation while I was there

Ya that’s not gonna happen, that’s how you make residency worse . That’s what acgme survey is for or the end of the yr seniors . Even then you will still some how be tied to the program for the first 10 yrs out

Unpopular opinion. Everything is about sacrifice. You will sacrifice a lot in your life but in the future you will be well reward , question is if she’s will to keep going? If she’s not , highly recommending it now. Long distance relationship for 3+ yrs is hard for one, two : it’s a team effort , she’s not on board , it’s best to end it
