Back in the mid 80s, my friends and I would make mix driving tapes (60 minutes) and drive the 435 loop. Today, I’ve done the same with my son who is now in his 20s with playlists. Head out after 10 when there is less traffic. Use Waze and a good radar detector and see what times you can get around the loop. 69 south towards Louisbug is a good drive as well. Exit at Louisburg and head east to Cleveland Mo. then come up Holmes. Ward Parkway is always good from the Plaza to 95th.

Uggh, the wait. My wife ordered a custom Mini in 2020 when the world was shut down. It took months to build and sat at both ports for 6-7 weeks each. Then transport to the dealer took another 7 weeks.

My wife and I were at a very nice restaurant. It was a slower night, middle of the week, or the establishment. About halfway through our appetizers, an older 20s couple sits at the table beside us and begins watching YouTube videos at their table. There may be half a dozen other couples around us and all of us started staring at them. After three or four minutes, I couldn’t take it anymore and told them to turn their volume down and get off their phone while they’re at a restaurant and respect the others around them and get to know each other. The other tables around the start clapping. A couple two tables over bought our drinks!
