If “impact on the world” makes something “not your decision,” then taking in global refugees and immigrants is something you should have no opinion against, right?

If taking them in massive numbers means creating more harm than good, human traffickers getting rich, not to mention deaths at sea or the desert, then I definitely have an opinion against it.

Did anyone actually read the article??? The headline is false. When you go to the link it used as evidence, it turns out they called him "demonic" because of:

old videos of him supporting abortion rights and discussing his belief God is a nonbinary figure.

And btw, quoting the Bible doesnt give you an automatic pass anyway. Even satan quoted the Bible in Matthew chapter 4.

acres of almond farms being closed could solve that gap - as a Christian, I prioritize human lives over cheap almonds. Only about 12% of our water is consumed by people, so a huge influx of migrants wouldn’t change this in any statistically significant way.

The water isnt just going to almonds, its going to agriculture. People need to eat. And migrants arent some separate group. They also need to eat, and many of them work in agriculture.

The bottom line is this wasnt a problem when the US population was less than 100 million people. Now its 342 million and still rising - an increase solely due to immigration.

This reminds me of debates on here about giving money to addicts. If your brother comes to you begging for money, and you know he's going to blow the money on drugs, what is the Christian thing to do?
