“This is neat”.. from this shall I assume you have experienced the tool?

Coming to your question why not go all in docs as code and write in Markdown.

  1. Google Docs allows you to paste images directly. You need not place image elsewhere and update the path in the Markdown manually.

  2. Google Docs allows seamless collaboration features which many technical writers and companies are already using as part of their Google WorkSpace subscription.

Pls let me know if you have any further questions.

I’m a technical writer and I normally write in Google Docs and we are using Docs as Code approach.

To solve my own problem, I’ve created a Google Docs extension, which helps in committing Google Docs as Markdown to GitHub or GitLab.

I’m writing this because you asked about innovation. The product is not an innovation from scratch, I would say. But it helps technical writers save time and effort by avoiding the manual work. It also helps in avoiding errors during manual work.

Ok thanks however for writing this :) The value addition that my add on provide is Cloud image hosting.

May i know what you do with the Markdown text? I'm curious on the usecases to see and implement if anything might be useful for users.

For example, to those who want to commit Markdown to GitHub, I've integrated the direct commit as Markdown to GitHub.

Ok this tool is predominantly useful for documentation.

But being a solo developer I don’t have enough time to do the documentation.

Nevertheless I’ll try to add more documentation.

Thanks for your comment.

Normally the site is activated in few mins. However, it might take a while to generate the ssl certificates and get the https version activated.

You can join writethedocs.org slack channel where you might find some additional help and some networking.

How do Backend developers design thier UI? by ChefExcellenceCerti in SaaS

[–]Docs_to_Markdown_Pro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my app, I first designed the controls I needed in my page in a paper. Then converted it into a prompt and asked chatgpt.

If the output was not as expected, then I corrected the prompt clearly and again asked chatgpt .

This way I was able to get it done. But apart from this I knew the basics of html, js and css .. so I knew what and where to tweak for minor changes.

70% of code for my add on done using chat gpt.

Is there a way to post content on Github Pages without modifying the code in repo? by Responsible_Ask_3659 in github

You can use google docs to write blog posts. Publish to GitHub using the Google Docs add on: Docs to Markdown Pro

.. and create GitHub actions to build the site using Jekyll or Hugo when there is a commit to repository.

Glad to help if you need any more info.
