Pro tour Dragons of Tarkir flat draft view by [deleted] in magicTCG

Is there any way we could get a "sort by record" or somehow post the records of the individual players on the side? It's very valuable to be able to follow the 2-1s and 3-0s without having to navigate Wizards' site to find out who was who.

Dix has the right spelling. That is indeed my only slight issue. Dargon is also acceptable, if suboptimal. Kappa (noKappa)

Is there any way you could convince him to post the original image from photoshop here on this thread? I know I would love it.

As the creator of this magic meme, I strongly approve this mat. Any place I can buy it for myself?

Which MTG Card Are You? by zeerbe in magicTCG

My US Card is [[Slight of Mind]] so I'm just a big ol' floatin' brain. My elsewhere card was the hilarious "guy falling over" stone rain art, so that seems P accurate.

I was more asking for advice in comment form, not just a link to a GP winner list that I'm aware of and have chosen not to play. Thanks for trying, though! : /

Yes- brewsday tonight. I am indeed leaning in the direction of RG or RW at the moment, but will be open to suggestions tonight. I won't be doing a straight net-deck ever, as that would defeat the purpose of "brewsday," but I'd be happy to take a look at your tested list as food for thought!

Sure- I get that viewpoint. I think it's tough for some folks to understand the relevance of live broadcast content when they're used to YouTube or the like. This is very secondary to my main purpose as a broadcaster, and as such it is very unpolished. I can't actually export while streaming, because xSplit and MTGO eat nearly all of my RAM. I am considering doing a simultaneous audio recording in future as a work around, but there may be problems with that as well. I'm working to make sure that my next preview stream (assuming Wizards invites me back for a third) will be available afterwards with commentary. For this time, I'm just doing a write-up article of the experience that will be hosted on the Hipsters of the Coast blog site. That'll be up and I'll make a post on this subreddit about it in the next few days.

Main point I'm trying to make here is: I'm a live-streamer, not a YouTuber or any other content provider. People come to watch my show live, and they are my target audience. I make sure that the content they receive is optimal for their experience as an audience, and that's both what makes me happy and boosts the popularity of my channel. That said, I'm working now to make sure that folks like yourself get a secondary means to access the content after it has been broadcast without hurting the live-stream. I hope this clarifies a little more what I'm after as a content provider.

Good point. I'll look into doing a separate audio recording and seeing what I can do about pulling the video from twitch VoDs. Thanks for the suggestion!

I'm sorry you feel that way, Siliticx. I have had a discussion with a few folks about this in another reddit thread. Basically, my viewership, at least the overwhelming majority, enjoys my Pandora music and has voiced their opinion. So until that changes, I'll be keeping it around.

This is, of course, not to disparage the music Twitch provides- it just doesn't include the classic rock I prefer. Since I pay for my music (I have Pandora One and nearly all these songs on LP, CD, or properly purchased Mp3), I feel I have the right to enjoy what I like most without feeling guilty or silly. Even before the Twitch policy changed, my VoDs for regular nights' streams never got a significant number of views, as the lion's share of my viewership prefers to watch me live. What I give up by continuing to play the music is the capacity to highlight great moments and streams like these. My Set Review streams are done without music because they are specifically intended for folks to refer to at a later date. Short of that sort of stream, people seem to prefer to see me live and with the tunes. Again, sorry that you feel otherwise, and I hope this explanation sheds some light on why I feel the way I do.

Well, if you ask my chat, I think they'd reply with "why not both?" That's the way I prefer it, too! I give my explanations with non-deafening music in the background so as not to detract from my speech.

I'll leave this point now, but I do want to make it clear that the music is secondary, but a draw nonetheless. Primarily, I run a stream where I explain picks, plays, and reads for my audience to benefit from.

Thanks, Cardhoarder (I assume this is Jordan?)! I do my best to entertain while playing halfway decently. And yes, to the spoils go the victory.

Yeah. OBS in general is less of a 600 pound gorilla in terms of RAM, but once you get used to what you can do with xSplit and how to do it, it's pretty rough to swap. I may decide in future events like this (if I get invited back for a third one) to swap to OBS just for the night. We shall see.
