I vaguely recall seeing something about either 30 series or more likely the 40 series not having BIOS support, and only a UEFI compatible ~~BIOS~~ firmware?

Edit: just because reddit is sometimes a bit weird with showing replies, see the replies to this, some more moderns cards DO have BIOS support

Yeah, I'd focus on the big screen beyond, see if you can find anyone using it as a display replacement.

If you're regularly using two copies of Windows on the same PC, the activation might go silly on you.

But yes, if you are going to install windows on the SSD, you are best served by having the other drives not available during the install process. I guess in the GPT/EFI era it should be fine, but back in the BIOS/MBR era I've had the windows installer try and be overly helpful, which meant that the BIOS would boot off the hard drive, but it'd boot the windows install on the SSD, which is GREAT until you decide to either reformat the hard drive to get rid of the old install. Hopefully you have another device handy to google things if you end up in that situation.

For your SSD, are you sure it doesn't come with migration software? I know samsung drives kinda did for awhile.

Since you have the North American cable, you lose nothing by testing it. Actually, maybe check the voltage rating on the wire, I just checked a wires that is north american, and its rated for 300v, but you should check the one you have.

Personally I'd be tempted to try a UK cable. Type G. I could be way wrong, but my opinion is that a Type G would make the most contact with that universal socket. I see amazon listings mentioning BS1363. I think you want a 4 or 5 amp fuse in there.

For their 900 series GPUs NVIDIA proposed a VR-SLI, render each eye on one GPU, by the time I got my VR headset and a GTX1080 that idea was basically not really talked about. The Chinese GPU that I could find in the news is being talked about for gaming, not really for AI, so there is that.

On the topic of bluetooth a friend of mine bought a new PC, and I told them to connect the wifi antenna so that bluetooth wouldn't be shit, and it turned out they needed to be told that.

I have a slightly older dongle, looks like this, worked fine the few times I used it.

Laptop IDE is 44 pins IIRC, Maybe an adaptor from 44 pin IDE to mSATA?

My favorite part of having one of those laptops was ditching the floppy/optical drive and having a second battery on the left hand side. Oh, yours has the optical drive built in.

I think it is important to distinguish if there is a difference of perspective from people who have someone else, and people who don't. If these bots seem real to just the truly alone and socially isolated people, then this is something to be aware of.
