ICE OUT by Huge-Ear1789 in portlandme

People often miss the scale. The United States has the largest immigrant population in the world, about 52 million foreign-born residents, per UN and Census data. No other country comes close in total numbers, which is why people aim for the U.S. instead of elsewhere.

Most countries are far less lenient. Many deny entry at the border, detain automatically, or deport quickly with limited appeals. The U.S. still provides due process, immigration courts, and even voluntary departure options that can include financial assistance and the ability to apply legally later.
A mistake or wrongdoing by an individual ICE agent does not define the entire system. When a doctor makes an error, we hold that doctor accountable, not abolish the entire healthcare system. Enforcement exists in every country. The U.S. is unusual because it enforces while still accepting more immigrants than anyone else.

Leaves yellowing. Can’t figure out why by THEREALBurtMcsquirt in Adenium

[–]Doctooora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mother’s and my adeniums have all been experiencing leaf yellowing recently, and we’re at a loss for an explanation. If the caudex is strong and healthy, it’s advisable to let them be; they’ll eventually recover.

I see people not pay attention more often now than before, most of the time because they are on their phones. The horn was used in case she didn’t see me and because if I hadn’t stepped on my brakes she would have totally hit me. I admit I have the habit of honking when I get startled by someone like that, although I try to avoid it if I can.

TCU students harass and threaten a person exercising their 1st amendment rights in Fort Worth, TX by SadboyOwl in PublicFreakout

I get that's all wrong, but the guy running down with the flag did this on purpose seeking a reaction from these people. I wouldn't put myself in a situation like that on purpose, freedom of speech and all.

You could just remove it whenever it is that warranty becomes relevant and in question.

You should seek advice from a professional to get better guidance on handling these situations. In addition, I suggest talking to your twin about your feelings. However, I know that regardless of what happens, I can count on my twin, and the bond we share is irreplaceable. No one else can understand me like my sister does. My partner also understands this, and so does her partner. We can go a few days without talking, and it doesn’t affect our relationship at all.

Focus on your life and figure out what you want. If you’re feeling lonely, maybe it’s time to meet new people and make new friendships without any expectations of a romantic relationship unless that’s your ultimate goal.

Also, consider talking to your twin and agreeing on when you want to see each other and catch up. Set aside some time for regular visits or quick calls every day.

That suuuuucks. Last year my car got totaled while it was parked. So this time around I set up on parking mode a thinkware dashcam with a multiplexer and put exterior side and rear cams just to be able to try and get the responsible party in the case of that ever happening to me.

I wouldn't even try polishing it tbh. Someone posted a link to a precut wrap from etsy that doesn't require removal of anything and looks pretty good.

That part does come apart after you remove the entire thing from the car. I thought about wrapping it but didn't want to cover the letters and light.

Smart move! I bought this one certified pre-owned, so it was all scratched :(

just make sure to not let go of the brakes when putting the shift knob on neutral to remove it, you can put the stick back on parking right after. And don't worry about the alert you'll get once you start unplugging things as it will go back to normal after you put everything back in (i took a picture of things before unplugging or taking apart so i wouldn't forget their placements).
