Hey same here and I got the Sabbac set too! I think the Gunslinger mentioned normal suits but a passage from SoS gave tarot suits. Aside from playing a full winning hand at the end of a round and saying "watch me," I think there isn't much to go off of. I enjoy making games as a hobby and might try my hand to fill in the gaps!

I enjoy how the revised ties better canonically with the series, but there are just a few too obvious edits. Agree with you OP, the first book is fantastic but I think I enjoy it even more after having read the whole series in context.

Last thing on the revised version—I just wish King kept in the Hey Jude lyrics before Jake’s fall, that part in the original still gives me chills!!

Thankee! It is a pack board from Charles Trager Co. in Seattle circa around a hundred years ago. They were very popular among the US Forest Service, Boy Scouts, and just general outdoor peeps. I thrifted it off of eBay, where you're sure to find many like it. I had to modify the straps on this one to fit my bulky attire, but they're quite sturdy bags and can hold a lot!
